Well informed sources told the Jordanian Daily Al Dotsour yesterday that an operation of collective assassination was made by American-British forces on the Iraqi leadership and was carried out, according to an intelligence plan in the Al Mansour suburb of Baghdad.
The sources said that two of the dissident Senior Iraqi Military Leaders coordinated with one of the Leaders of the Republican Guard in an operation to monitor the date and place of a meeting for the Iraqi leadership, noting that the Senior Member of the Republican Guard carried out this mission completely.
The paper explained that he was informed by the two opposition leaders that the Iraqi leadership will be meeting in an old house in the Al Mansour Quarters and following that the American planes bombarded the place.
The source added that the said plan also stated that the Senior Leader of the Republican Guard was due after the assassination of the Iraqi leadership to give his orders for the Republican Guards and the army to gather their arms in three positions in Baghdad and to return back to their houses until the forces were summoned again. And this is what happened.
The source stressed that all members of the Iraqi Leadership were assassinated except the Minister of Information Muhammaed Saeed Al-Sahaf and the Vice President Izzat Ibrahim.

"...so you can stop bothering us here in Syria! No one home but us chickens! Just nice Arabs over here, no bad guys! Okay?" I'll buy that when support for Hisbollah dries up, Syria gets out of Lebanon, and terrorists quit operating out of Syrian territory. Oh, and when we quit killing Syrian nationals in Iraq, which right now seem to be just about the only people still fighting us. Right now Assad looks like a mini-Saddam, just not quite as ambitious.

......the persistence of both Britain and the USA to hide the assassination incident is because of several reasons, mainly not to show Saddam Hussein as a hero, as well as other members of the Iraqi leadership, so as this leadership will be exposed to accusations inside Iraq and in the Arab states to that they had fled. Interesting....tho' it sounds like something debka would issue.

I wonder if Baghdad Bob was deliberately trying to make the Baathist government look ridiculous, so that it would have fewer defenders.

There were covers on the furniture in Tariq Aziz's house when the Marines got to it.

"Saddam included? "I would think so, because after that bombing, the next day, Baghdad Bob gave no more messages/announcements & disappeared.

He can broadcast from Damascus for now. Then later, Teheran, then Pyongyang, then Havana, then Paris...
I'm sure that ABC and Peter Jennings would give him a job.

It is reasonable to assume he knew not to attend the meeting.
Remember, unlike the others, he has a job waiting with US TV broadcaster ABC New amd the opportunjity to be on air with Petah and Barbra and Steffy was enought to make any man sell his soul.

I have to admit I grew rather fond of Baghdad Bob. I enjoyed his outrageous lies and his butchering of the English language.

We need to have some ideas for his spin when he resurfaces - such as he is the Iraq version of Chuck Barris and was really working with the CIA in a plot to kill Saddam.
I love Baghdad Bob and hope he resurfaces.
By the way, did you guy see Comb over dude giving kissing hugs to the CNN reporter as he was leaving town. Brit hume had a clip on his program.

Is this suppoesed to mean that Tariq Aziz was hit too?Have there been any 'Tariq Aziz' sightings? Come to think of it, has he been seen anywhere since the bombing that very first night EXCEPT on the interview with Petah Ahhnet? I can't remember, did Petah ask any questions that Aziz would have needed info SINCE that bombing to answer? In other words, is it possible that the interview could have been taped before that first bombing?

Tariq Aziz showed up at least a couple of times after that first bombing, most recently -- to my knowledge -- for an interview with an Italian television network on April 4th.

So the fascinating thing to meyou said the minister of information was making a fool of himself. And it does look foolish to stand in Baghdad and say that theres no Americans in Baghdad when everyones looking at the split screen seeing that there are Americans in Baghdad. <snip> |
Hes been lying like that for years, over and over, and media carries it as though its true. Its been happening a month ago, two months ago, three months ago. Hes been lying exactly the same way. And yet its been carried and transmitted across the globe as though it were true. Its only when people had split screens and could see it that they finally said, "Oh, my goodness, this fellow lies. Isnt that amazing?" Theres gambling in the casino. |

Jacques ChIraq wanted France to start it's own News Network,
perhaps Baghdad Bob can take over the prime time anchor chair for the FROGS, they seem to live on the same plane of reality as Baghdad Bob,so this arrangement would work nicely for everybody.

"These sources indicated that the persistence of both Britain and the USA to hide the assassination incident is because of several reasons, mainly not to show Saddam Hussein as a hero, as well as other members of the Iraqi leadership, so as this leadership will be exposed to accusations inside Iraq and in the Arab states to that they had fled. The sources said that the other objective is that the US administration will make of the issue of searching for the Iraqi leadership as a blackmail and pressure papers for states neighboring Iraq in preparations to attack them." This sure proves Baghdad Bob is alive, it is very much his style.
