I have to admit I grew rather fond of Baghdad Bob. I enjoyed his outrageous lies and his butchering of the English language.
That is a distinct possibility. It does seem to stretch the imagination how he was able to go about his business for 3 weeks and not take a scratch, up until and including the time when units were barely a mile away from him.
His press conferences are now the stuff of legend, and did considerable harm to the Arab Street's opinion of their own journalists.
