I clicked on someone's profile this morning, and noticed that John Robinson has updated their format.
I like it! Great job!
That is all. Please return to your regularly scheduled Freeping.

Thanks for the tip!
Specifying the width as a percentage may very well work with what I'd like to do.

If you know CSS and want to lend me a big hand, could you grab the
/profile.css file and adjust the font sizes to suit your screen size?
I'm using fractions of em space, I was under the impression that would give scalable results, and they do work for me. Many websites that use CSS use @#!&* pixel measurements, which are always way too small on my high res monitor.

I love it!!! Good work!

Err, to finish the thought, could you make those changes and then send them back to me so I can give it a looksee? Thanks.

John, I e-mailed you a screen shot of my profile page. Should I be using a screen size other than 800x600?
To: Billie
Your site is WONDERFUL !!!!!! I will spend time on it this weekend. Thanks!!

Your page looks BEAUTIFUL to me !! Everything seems perfect. The BLUE on the BLACK background is a little hard to read, but other than that, it looks great. You put alot into that. Thanks !!

Thank you for the compliments on my page. I enjoy working on it.
The background is black, but I don't know what blue you are talking about. This is so frustrating, I think I am seeing my page differently than you and others are.
To: Neenah
Thank you for that, Neenah - the fonts are not right - the "tabitha" font is too tiny, and the "Arial" fonts are too large. They weren't that way before this latest change. : ( Plus, on MY view, where I'm given the option to edit the page, mine is messed up.

...and the low-contrast color scheme.Bingo!
How's about a deeper blue, John? Otherwise, I'm fairly satisfied. Would rather have the way it was.
Er.....when do we get to hear music again? : )
To: Billie
You are seeing somthing different I think.
You profile looks good - nothing screwed up from what I can see.

Which is too low contrast, the top light banner or the middle darker banner? The top light banner was designed to be low contrast because I consider that information to be mostly noise.
To: CyberCowboy777
It was only on my view of it because it was the command that John added to be able to edit my page - no one else could see the table messed up because no one else can edit my page. :) It's fixed now - he found the problem.
Thank you. :)

The top light banner was designed to be low contrast because I consider that information to be mostly noise.Well, John, I personally would like 'both' to be more bold.
You really think our sign-on date is "noise"? : )
To: John Robinson
Well, I really don't like it. I guess I can get use to it, but I'm really upset about the 'hover' membership number. When a disruptnic gets on, a quick hover on his/her name helps explain where he's coming from.
Will this be coming back? If not, why not?

I've removed it before--and when the angry mob came after me with raised pitchforks I wisely chose to turn it back on.
The only problem I really have with it is how it sometimes fosters some people to take a shortcut and bash the newbie--for being new--if they offer a lousy argument in a discussion. It's a lesser form of ad hominem I'd rather do without. It would be better to have people bashed for the lousy arguments they post than have them bashed for being new in response to the lousy arguments they post. (No, it would be better to have lousy arguments "bashed" and not the poster at all. But, c'est la vie--damn the French.)
Though I do recognize that signup date (and to a lesser degree the signup number) are useful for calling out the "subtle" variety of troll.
To: knak
I think the freeper numbers are a casualty of the upgrade..

Are the ladies setting their own fonts and sizes in their profile HTML?
