We the People Rally for America in Philadelphia
Philadelphia, PA April 11, 2003 - - The We the People Rally for America has taken shape and will go on as planned on Saturday, April 12, 2003 at 2 PM in Dilworth Plaza at Philadelphia City Hall.
Two different flyers, one produced by P.H.L.A.G. and the other produced by the New Jersey GOP, have been advertising the rally around the Delaware Valley. Sporadic reports have surfaced that The Big Talker 1210 AM has also advertised the rally.
This rally is the first of its kind in Center City. Philadelphia is quite a liberal city, so being able to obtain the proper permits and support is quite an accomplishment, says Michael Musial, Vice President of Patriots for Heroism, Liberty, Americanism & Gallantry. Its about time the city of Philadelphia shows its support for President Bush and coalition troops currently serving in the Persian Gulf.
The rally will feature Philadelphia mayoral candidate Sam Katz, local radio personality Jeff Katz, and an Iraqi-American as speakers.
Members of the public who will be attending the rally are urged to bring supplies for American troops and local veterans organizations, as they will be collected and personally delivered to the people who deserve them most.
A live band will be playing patriotic music.
If more than one thousand people turn out for the rally, our overall wish would be fulfilled, Musial says. However, it doesnt matter how many people turn out, as long as the servicemen and women know that the American public and Philadelphians care about them.
