I can now confidently tell you that Saddam Hussein is either dead or alive. One or the other. We've now narrowed down the possibilities.

He is dead as of this moment. Tomorrow, reports of his death will be 'unconfirmed', and then the next day there will be indications that he might be alive, followed by certainty that he is dead again by the end of the week.
Also, some chemical weapons will be located, but they will turn out to be pesticides, though they are really chemical weapons disguised as pesticides, soon revealed to be mere ordinary pesticides.

Produce his corpse or shut the hell up. Good luck producing a corpse after four 2,000 pound bunker-busters landed on it.
If the CIA is officially confirming this, then I'll take the claim seriously. However, due to the fact that his body has essentially been atomized, there will always be doubters and we'll be hearing about Saddam sightings at Burger King drive-throughs for the next 20 years.

Now more importaintly...is Paul Dead?
To: Arkinsaw
Did anyone here see Shep Smith pictures on TV tonight showing
one of SH bodyguards standing by the bomb site watching the
digging. Why else would he be there unless he was checking
out the site to see if saddam's body was recovered.

Until proven otherwise, I'll have to go with the Brits. The Brits aren't offically reporting this. We are talking about two left-wing papers that are anti-war.

But if he's dead, he can't do Larry King Live. I still wish Saturday Night Live would show him being contacted in a seance.

...Let's announce it anyway. If Saddam is by some chance alive, let him prove it...
Excellent point.
In the broader sense, he's dead. In the more narrow sense, he'll be dead very soon.

What's wrong with their coverage. Reporting on the intelligence community can be tricky, but they break a lot of stories that the "biggies" get to later.
