WA State Freepers Atyend Weekly Duvall, WA Pro-Troops Rally
self ^ | April 7, 2003 | self

At least two Washington members of FreeRepublic (http://www.FreeRepublic.com) joined other Pacific Northwesterners in the latest of ongoing rallies to Support Our Troops. The third or fourth such held in the central traffic point of the bucolic town of Duvall, Washington (east of Woodinville, in turn east of Seattle), turnout was reduced from the 200+ who showed up in previous weeks by the return of the drizzle for which Seattle is so justly famous. But the weather didn't dampen spirits any, as the photos here will show.

Nice to see it's not all whack jobs in the Puget Sound area.

Grew up in Kirkland bump.

Take a look at the main page for more: http://eala.freeservers.com . There are a lot of good people here, and they're turning out. The Bellevue rally had 5000+ attending.

Thanks for the pictures, my father told me about the first rally, he lives in Carnation, just a few miles south of Duvall (I use to live there myself). He is the precinct PCO in Carnation and hopes to attend the next rally in Carnation.....health willing ! I'll have to pass the link to the pictures on to him.

Had a great time. This was #14 for me, and I hope we can hold another rally in Bellevue. 3,000 strong was sure a BUMP!

Did you hear the letter Kirby Wilbur read about the Duvall rally this morning? Someone in the military (sorry - I cannot remember the specifics of his service - his first name was given, and it was Larry) who is currently in Qatar got photos of the rally from his wife who attended, and is posting them all around; he said they were a real morale booster for the troops.

He also said he's going to take them to Baghdad, so everyone can see the faces of the folks back home who are rallying to support them.

How cool is that? LOL
