"Although I believe we will find weapons, I will not gloat until we actually HAVE FOUND THEM AND IT IS AKNOWLEDGED IN THE PRESS."I agree, we need links to "official news sources", please!! These stories are completely believable, but confirmed facts are needed, or else we'll be misled by the "one-time news report, OOPS, we made a mistake, never mind" type of report that the media is so famous for...
Besides the story above, please post any links you have on...
"One pint of the stuff they found the other day is enough to kill THOUSANDS of people. Then they found the factory in the north, which has been confirmed to have had Bot' and other nasties in it, proof that the terrorist cells have the stuff throughout the world by now since it was found in a terrorist controlled place."
and...
"Nonetheless, it is shown on NBC video that there are definitely some of these cannisters there, apparently Russian made chemical weapons disbursement devices, actually fairly new, it seemed."
Freegards, all...with all the news we get, isn't it amazing how little it actually is sometimes?!
/ aargh...!

"JHC! They've already found WMD! How many times? One pint of the stuff they found the other day is enough to kill THOUSANDS of people."
I think this is more than a slight exaggeration. The bottle that was found was marked TABUN. Even CENTCOM aren't unduly worried about this as they recognise that this was an NBC training school. You require large amount of TABUN to inflict thousands of casualties not just a pint bottle. Tabun was originally developed as a pesticide way back in the 1930's. The Iraqi's probably use it to demonstrate the effects of nerve agent. Tether a goat and expose it to the TABUN to demonstrate to the troops the effects/symptoms of nerve agent. What is required to provide a smoking gun is the discovery of filled shells or large quantities of agents in Iraqi forces hands. The other smoking gun would be the discovery of a cache of SCUD and their associated transport erector launchers.

My guess is he is at either Burger King (children's section) or at an internet cafe surfing for 14 year old "chicks"...

Did you see the photograph of one of the weapons they found, it was painted gray. Gray is the color that is normally used to indicate bio/chem agents.
I found it amazing that they did not paint it green to camoflage it.
Anyone got a photo of it? I bet freepers with our store of knowledge could sort out some of the details on it.

Regarding your post...was there a thread that talked about this? I would like to read it. I'm not able to catch every piece of news posted. TIA.

I noticed nothing much has been reported on this School that was suspected to have hidden WMD since this morning. Been watching FOX all day (couch potato sydrome arrives) and haven't seen or heard any updates?
Anyone know if any other info has been released?

I know the following is not going to make any difference to the folks on this forum that refuse to believe anything unless it comes from Fox, but here is the picture proof for your thread from MSNBC. Now they can say that MSNBC doctored the picture since Fox didn't report the find of these large amount of weapons. (sarcasm)
Seriously, they had an extensive report on this continually during the day including an interview with the Marine Commander. They showed military putting on chemical suits to check out these weapons as they begin to catalog them. There are more than 120 bunkers filled with more weapons that those combined at Camp Lejune and Camp Pendleton. They found a lot of warheads with the valves on the bottom to make them able to fill with chemical weapons!
Weapons uncovered A U.S. officer with the 2nd Battalion, 8th Regiment Marines examines tank rounds kept in a case marked "GHQ Jordan Armed Forces" at an abandoned Iraqi military complex south of the city of Diwaniya in central Iraq. The complex has more than 120 buildings, most of them housing different types of weapons, from bullets to missiles and mines.

I saw that report throughout the day. David Kay said that chemical weapons are suposed to be painted grey but when he was in Iraq as the head of Nuclear Inspectors, they found all colors in the Iraqi arsenal.
The anchor asked Kay if this was this was the smoking gun and he said it was probably the amory espeically by the time they found all the weapons.
The Marines were going through starting to catalogue those 120+ bunkers. It was amazing to see the large amount of weapons and see the Russian warhead all set for chemical weapons load. Kay had never seen a warhead like that one with the valves. Warhead looked very new!

Check out post #73 with the pictures that came from the MSNBC site. This story has been running all day on MSNBC complete with an interview with the Marine Commander of those troops not cataloging all they have found in these bunkers.

Hi, I found it here, though I read about it on yahoo news, first. :)
3 CIA Assets Killed in Baghdad
I'd agree it is propaganda, as OldFriend said, but it worried me that this comes from "former & serving US Officials".
From the linked article: Sources told UPI that Iraqi counterintelligence killed the three, shooting two and cutting out the tongue of a third, who bled to death. They said U.S. intelligence had learned this from their forces on the ground in Iraq

I've heard, although it's never been confirmed,...that Blix contemplated his navel once.Does that count?
No, that report is incorrect. He was actually wondering how that lint got there. Anonymous sources indicate he is still uncertain as to it's origin, and whether or not it has long-term implications for a satisfactory UN-sponsored outcome.
