In Toronto today, April 4th, 2003 we gathered to declare our support for America, and our outrage with our government's positions and behaviour. About 2,000 folks by my count made it out in freezing rain that shut down Pearson International, Canad's largest airport. These were people with jobs, folks of all ages. Taxpayers. I hop the Liberal strategists in Ottawa are shuddering right now. They made one of the greatest miscalculations in Canadian history. They believed we could stand away from America and no one owuld care. Wrong, idiots. We do care.
Five thousand in Ottawa last weekend, hundreds in Edmonton spontaneously, today in Toronto, and we haven't even seen what Calgary is going to do. I sense a stampede out here, eh.
Thank you America, for being America. For our protection, for your friendship. Chretien and his gang will be gone soon.
Meet some of the people who stand beside you. G-d Bless America.
Evil is evil, and must be opposed. We've seen
the results of waiting far too often.

Nice spring day in Toronto, eh?

Regime change in Ottawa? Bring it on!

mitchbert, complete with Yankees hat.

mitchbert's friend Taco Gold. Dutch by birth.
Friend of America for reasons I could
fill a page with.

What's a little freezing rain between friends, eh?

If we could only have such a choice.

NOTE: The last time I posted pics off my tripod server it went all wierd on me. Hope it's okay this time.
In freezing rain that shut down Perason International Airport, we were there. Not the greatest pics, but we got there just as things were starting and the crowd was quite thick. Great turnout, lots of cheering. Liberal MP got jeered off the stage. "Too Late! Tell Your Boss!" Alliance leader Harper was there, Ontario Premier Ernie Eves (Conservative) and mayor Lastman. Other guests, including folks who lost family on 9/11. Great time, lots of fun, and a clear message:
Mr. Chretien - You and your government do not speak for us!
Freep on, eh!

You can't host pictures off Tripod. They just won't let you do it. The only reason you can see them is because the pictures are in your own browser's cache already. All the rest of us are getting is big nasty distorted TRIPOD ads.
You should probably ask the mods to nuke this thread and start a whole new one, linking to photos hosted somewhere else.

Atta boy mitchbert, rally at Calgary's Olympic Plaza tomorrow morning at 10:00 A.M. Be there or be square. We are committed to every Sat. morning until Chretinious apologises for the insulting anti-American attitude of his trained seals.

Way to go and thanks. I stand up for the Canada on every post when a question of their loyalt is brought up. Even though there goverment and PM has its' head up its' ass their people are really great. They've always been with us!

What do you expect from Chretien? He's French, so of course he's going to be anti-American. The highest opposition in Canada is in Quebec. As a percentage, I'm not sure how much of Canada's population is made up of Quebecois, but Quebec cannot elect the majority Liberals all by themselves. I am glad there are SOME Canadians who support the US, but the truth, which some on this very post refuse to acknowledge, is that Canada is an anti-American nation, and has been so for years, (can you say Trudeau?). The truth will be told in the next national election. If the Liberals lose, Canada will have learned. If the Liberals are elected yet again, don't tell me how Canada is REALLY a friend of the US. That next election will tell it all.....

Thanks for the pictures! (Now I can put a face to 'mitchbert'.) Nice to see a Canadian 'cousin'!
Going out there in raw weather shows how strong you all feel. I hope you are getting the attention of the PM and scaring the bejeezes out of him!
Go Canada go!! And thank you all!

I can see the pics. when I click on the link.
I couldn't attend the rally due to weather, my car was/is frozen solid and I won't drive in icy conditions.
I'm heartsick at Chretien and his goons in Ottawa, but its not likely his replacement to be, will be any better. Its quite likely the libs will get in again.
The anti US Bush raves are still prevelant, and the pro's are outnumbered, especially here: get your rebuttals in now !!!

thanks for posting, mitchbert!
I'd like to take the opportunity to ask anyone reading this thread to help me freep an Ottawa city councillor who doesn't believe the government should reassure American tourists that they are welcome in Canada's capitol:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/884370/posts any help would be appreciated!
To: mitchbert
Thank You!!!
I love Canada, especially Whistler, Banff, Victoria. I was in Vancouver last weekend and plan to go to Victoria in May. Would hate to think that everyone agreed with Chretien.
