Went to my First Freedom Rally Today

I went to my first Freedon Rally today on the campus of Texas Tech University- Lubbock, TX. I was amazed at the young leadership and support for our troops. There was a small group of protesters and we even saluted them for their right to protest. However, I shook hands with Vets of WW2 and the look in their eyes and the tears they shed at the sound of the bagpipe playing Amazing Grace, changed me on this wind swept West Texas day. We had a young wife of a marine who said our support would be relayed to her husband when she does get the chance to talk with him again. We had over 300 people there and only 15 of the anti-protesters. I stood beside a dad who had his marine sons' photo pinned to his shirt.
I got back home and started reading my new People Magazine. I got to the third page and had to make a call. I called them and said, I wanted to cancel my subscription (I have 10 months left) because I am sick of the fake movie stars who are against our country. I want to support my country, our troops and President Bush. The lady asked why I did not want to receive People anymore and I told them because those people are not the REAL People that make this world great. It is a great day to be an American. God Bless our Country.

Colorado FReeper Bump!! Way to go! I hope this won't be your last rally, they are addicting you know.
Thanks for getting out there and helping to lift the morale of our troops and boosting the spirits of their families. This means so much it cannot be expressed in words.
Great job of canceling your subscription. I did the same thing a couple of years back when U.S. News and World Report starting running anti-gun ads. If we don't pay money to the leftist magazines, then they don't make money.
Welcome to the ranks of the vast right wing conspiracy! LOL! I hope to see pictures next time.
All the Best.

I am just curious, why is opposing this war being anti-american?

I am just curious, why is opposing this war being anti-american?I'm not one who thinks it is....free speech etc.
I would hope the anti-war folks do support and pray for our troops safe return.
To: VivaVilla
duuuuuuh, because we are fighting idiots who want to kill ALL Americans?
(even you)
I know it's complicated. Ask whoever reads this to you to 'splain it.
And then when you pull your head out- thank a soldier for saving your life while you were yet to dumb to know it was threatened.
To: JFC
Sounds like it was a moving experience for you. I'm so glad that people who DO support the war and President Bush (and we are the vast majority) are mobilizing and speaking up, more and more. Fantastic!
P.S. Good for you for cancelling Pee-hole magazine.

Thanks for taking a stand and showing your support. The time will come when the leftists realize that they aren't welcome and everyone realizes that the leftists don't speak for America. As this realization sinks in, the leftists will lose even more power.

Oh I get it, so attacking a nation without the support of the majority of the world behind you, while further angering arab/muslim elements makes us all safer! Of course! While that all is going on we should make sure that we publicly label anyone who opposes the war as being a traitor. Why didn't I think of that before?
To: ken5050; VivaVilla
Some one using a fifty year old movie title about a Mexican quasi-socialist murderer isn't all that far under the radar, Ken.
Pancho, I'm sure it won't be long before you move from inane questions to insults, so have fun while you last. It will sure be something you can tell all the other kids in the dorm about.

I disagree with this silly notion that we can't save our lives unless we get somebody's permission first.
I'm glad that people who matter aren't as mixed up as you are.
These arab/muslim's you like so much converted the tallest two buildings on Manhattan into a grave. Hadn't you noticed? Gee. I'm glad that they were not "angered" then. Heaven knows what they might have done.
Oh, and anyone who opposes the USA's fight for survival is most assuredly a traitor. Make no mistake about it.
To: getitright
First off, Sadamm has never really been connected to the September 11 attacks. Not one of the attackers were Iraqi and the idea itself makes little sense. Iraq is a secular nation that groups like Al Queda want to overthrow. And as far as making us safer, this war is doing a great job in putting us in greater jeopardy. So let's see hear, no connection to Al Queda or September 11, greater risk of terrorist attacks, and general world-wide contempt, gosh why didn't I see the logic of this war to begin with?
To: VivaVilla
correction: I should have said here instead of hear. My bad.
