Yeah, Fox actually said early early this morning that there were TWO diversionary attacks at the time of the rescue of the PFC.

I heard it on NPR early this morning. I got the impression that Marines created several diversions in different parts of the city. That was the extent of what I heard.

Here's a link to the BBC story about the police station. I got nauseated reading it. Just remember that this is a horrible, immoral war, and that it's up to the Iraqi people to decide if they want to get rid of Saddam. The rest of the world has no business putting an end to a murderous despot. It's just not polite to interfere. Right?

Pentagon briefing. Playing clip of Jessica's rescue.
Salutes Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.
Torie mentions Iraqi spokesman calling yesterday for Jihad. Says "who knows where Saddam is". She says this regime however is very cruel to their own citizens. WE are helping the Muslims. Listing aid that will come. Pictures of us helping. We show more respect for mosques than this regime. We will not fire on mosques or holy sites.
Coalition forces also found a school with weapons stashed.

I read and heard that Brig. General Brooks said that some "brave souls" rescued Jessica Lynch. It sort of implied to me that there were some casualties in this rescue. I heard on the radio this morning that there were no casualties on our part in the rescue operation. Not so for the Iraqis....

I get a strong feeling that this war is going to spawn a number of real, life-like computer war simulation games. Does anyone agree? What is the best one out there now? I got to admit I wouldn't want to take the Iraqui side against any computer with the US/UK capabilities.

Torie reading the testimony of a former human shield! Quoted from an article we had on FR days and days ago. Shield's name = Pepper.

Maybe the Pentagon is using us as a clipping service! I hope so!

I heard a report that there was diversionary action while the rescue operation was underway.
Yes, I heard that too. We have a great military!

It was a strange report - I had no idea where it came from and I don't think the Fox hosts knew either. As was said previously, they moved on without comment. It's possible that the report is true. The Iraqi army may have murdered the other POW's, kept her for fun, but then gotten nervous about their long-term prospects when it became obvious they were going to lose the war. So, they just got the hell out of there, and left her behind.
It may be complete b.s., too. I'm just saying that we can't conclude one way or the other yet.

Regarding "feeling" questions, and other subjective interviews.......a true story from Yogi Berra.....he'd been tossed out by the home plate ump for protesting a strike call too hard, so the next day, as he stepped into the batter's box, he asked the ump if he could get thrown out for "thinking"..the ump said no...so Berra said, "I THINK you're an a*****e..."The ump tossed him again....
