"Additionally, several sources believe some of the elite troops are drugged." Drugged? Nah, no way....

"Just curious.....does anyone know where the US embassy in Badgad used to be, and what it is now?" All I know is, the French Embassy is going to be highly dangerous when the Baghdadis realize Saddam's Sadists are dead.

I saw this also. A reporter with a british accent calmly showing a serene 'hospital' that looked a bit more like a hotel lobby. He showed the undisturbed mural of Saddam on the wall and a few sparse medical lounges on the middle of a large room. He said there was no resistance when she was taken out and that there had been no contact with her by the Iraqi army since she was hospitalized. He said said hospital employees told them she cried a lot but 'was in good spirits' and she kept asking when the US army was coming for her. They said they had taken good care of her.
It was a strange report - I had no idea where it came from and I don't think the Fox hosts knew either. As was said previously, they moved on without comment.
It looked like some kind of an Iraqi fluff piece that Al Jazira distributes for Iraqi TV. Fox may have goofed with this feed.

Many reports last night and today have referred to a diversionary tactic that was implemented in order for the ranger, seals, etc. to go into the hospital. There was no one killed in the rescue. The bodies that have been talked about were 2 in a morgue in the hospital and 9 in a grave. Resistance was encountered in the rescue but everyone got out safely. The hospital was secured and is no longer in the regime's control. That is how we were able to search the hospital and find the weapons and the bodies, etc. The bodies are now undergoing DNA to be identified.

Thanks. Pentagon briefing coming up, will be on the lookout for more info and will be interested in press behavior today.
My husband said a co-worker was listening to NPR and in the wake of Jessica's rescue last night they were still harping on the mythical supply problem. My husband corrected him but the guy was unwilling to believe NPR would lie.

My search didn't turn up an article but I swear I heard it on TV about the diversionI thought I heard that too. I found this on the FOX News website:
U.S. military officials said a battle that was going on in the Nasiriyah area at the same time was related to the rescue. That raised questions whether the battle was a diversionary action to allow the commandos to slip into the hospital
Does anyone else watching the msnbc bag cam keep having to restart it? I keep getting the media player logo, then the msnbc message saying, "Please select a feed and press play" or something like that.

nw, I agree, also think that they lack any real direction..regime,comanders have probably been pretty much cut off since day one.
To: MEG33
You could actually see the diversion (firing a little ways away). They were carrying her out on a stretcher at the same time.

Yes, I get a weird error message too. Hearing little boom-booms every few moments, now.
