Has Hannity 86ed David Hackworth
My fertile mind | 4/1/03 | Me

Posted on 04/01/2003 2:04:55 PM PST by Pharmer

Has Sean Hannity axed his daily updates by Col. Hackworth?

If not he should. I would bet good money he is the unnamed Col. calling Rumsfeld "McNamarra Redux" cited in The New York Times, and questioning the war srategy. He has shown his disdain for Rummy in the recent past. But I bet he didn't go into detail unless under the condition of anonimoty with the times in order to preserve his talk show circuit gig during the war. He seeks relevancy when his time is long past. He hasn't served since Vietman. He has been long been a critic of the brass at the pentagon going back to Desert Storm. Possibly due to his retirement without stars on his shoulders. He was outspoken on his opposition to the war for strategic reasons. He said that our troops lacked proper training for chem and bio-warfare. The attack has far too well for him as he has been proven wrong over and over again.

Hackworth is a hack.

I think Hackworth has been losing it for quite a while now.

It's a shame but he couldn't be satisfied with an impressive military career and humility. He can't gracefully fade into the shadows. He has to know more, be more, brag more, "everything" more than other military experts.

All he does is make himself smaller and smaller and less significant each time. He's clueless.

Please, Dear God, please, let Hack set himself up the way Arnett did.

Maybe the all black look is a Johnny Cash thing? It is his signature so to speak like Roy Orbison's glasses. Maybe he has this "cool guy" ego thing going

Seems to me it started about 18 months ago. When I first remember seeing him on FNS he was something new and original.

Maybe the problem was that he had settled into a routine he found security in but which became pretty stale to his audience. I say this because some of my friends have made similar comments.

Then a very negative, bitter side to his personality seemed to increasingly take hold. I became fed up with him about 6 months ago.

Hackworth is a hack.....The most decorated soldier from the Vietnam war a hack?

OK...You don't like his assessment of Rummy....An acceptable position

But your statement that he is a "hack"..i.e. worthless...without honor...brainless....inexperienced in these matter of war...etc

Your statement indicates you are a moron! What absurdity!!!

Maybe, but it only works for Johnny Cash, imo. Poor Hackworth just looks silly.

Rear Admiral Eugene Carroll (USN, ret.); and

Col. David Hackworth (USA, ret.), America’s most decorated living combat veteran.

Maybe he's afraid someone will end up with more medals than him?

I would really like to know how much of his book is truth, and how much is exaggeration and outright lies, to make him look like a big war hero. It would be nice to hear more from people who actually served with him in Vietnam, who could verfiy the veracity of his war exploits.

Hack is a complete fraud. He ordered the Tiger FOrce that he blames others for, that got too many GIs killed. His book is full of BS. He got caught taking $ from the whorehouses in IV Corps. He is as gay as a goat.

What else do you want to know about him

You know, I'm really getting tired of this back-biting and treachery by Hack and other officers (un-named sources of course) pulling this crap during wartime. I'm starting to feel the slow burn whenever "Americas most decorated living combat veteran" does his part to degrade the morale of the troops serving. If he really cared about these troops he'd keep his mouth shut.

Speaking of "America's most highly decorated combat veteran", how do we know we don't have another Eugene Boorda?

Hackworth is nowhere to be seen on the tube these days, and for good reason. The guy is absolutely nuts.

Oh, we get around Radicalgranny. We know what many of the other sites say.

That is why we come here, to a conservative, pro-American site, to rest and trade war stories of our internet battles.

You would be surprised how many of us go to liberal sites. We know what you guys think. We just know you are wrong.

I think he is a regular on CNN now, that's where he belongs. He always seemed to be sneakily hiding his agenda when he appeared on FOXNEWS.

Wonder if he's married? Between this question and people speculating about Shep at FNC, I don't know. Inquiring minds want to know.

I don't get that feeling from Shep's on-air behavior, is his off-air behavior suspicious?

You need to get out more! FreeRepublic is one of the very few sites that think everything is hunky dorry. You guys need to get around on the internet a little more. There isn't too much good being said about this war on a lot of the sites. Second thought, maybe you folks should just stay here in your nice comfortable surroundings.

Please tell me you didn't get a sleeper account two years ago just to post this crap.
