Well that's true, Fox has had to back out of a couple of headlines lately. Sorry for jumping to conclusions but the only place in the world who says "Faux news" is DU.

Faux News is from the DU. They are the only ones who say that. They have a deep hatred for Fox.

Having said that, it would be great if we had good, clear video of knowledgeable witnesses saying that the story is true.

I don't deny it at all. As I said, it's refreshing to see a news channel that's not ashamed to be American.
Even the most die-hard affoxionados cannot help but smirk as Geraldo gets escorted out of Iraq courtesy of our troops.
Fox does cover the war, but I think coming to this website is FAR more worthwhile than watching any single news source.
Sites like this give the reader the opportunity to review stories from every side, from many sources, and to make a pretty damn good guess on what the truth is and what's spun.
As an added bonus, you get to read the news with 10000 of your conservative friends from around the world.
/shrug.
Just because I take breaking news from Fox with a grain of salt doesn't put me in bed with Peter Jennings.

Fox keeps the main thing the main thing, and I love 'em for it. Only thing else I watch is the weather channel and Kudlow & Cramer (sometimes ) on CNBC!

Let me respectfully disagree with you. Using the liberal virtue of moral equivalence, IF Fox happens to have a more conservative slant on the news it is no more wrong than the alphabet network's liberal bias. But of course such logic only applies to liberal acceptance of the left-wing bias--it doesn't apply to Fox.
BTW, if a liberal asserts Fox is right-wing biased, their assertion is automatically a lie, because all liberals lie all the time.
Also, the alleged fact that Fox's "bombshells" are later proven false by the alphabets should similarly be dismissed, as the fact an alphabet talking head made the statement automatically makes their statement a lie.
I would sooner believe a Fox reporter telling me the weather was dry all the while he is filmed in a monsoon, than believe any of the alphabet talking heads on any subject at any time.

the response to your question re source that mentions a cleric is correct. Fox News said that a Shiite cleric sympathetic to the U.S. said: (1) the women and children were forcibly taken to the van and a man was ordered to speed up at gunpoint and (2) in the case of the man who blew up 4 marines, his wife and baby were taken hostage and he was told that they would be killed if he didn't do it -- the regime then gave the man's family $ as "hush money."

No, it was specifically done so Katie Colon could bang her cloying drum on the Today Show.

Only thing else I watch is the weather channel and Kudlow & Cramer (sometimes ) on CNBC! Cramer loves Clinton/Gore but he is a conservative when it comes to economic theory. Love it when they ring the bell together.
