Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you! Special thanks to null and void for keeping these threads running on the weekends, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course,...
And I don't much like the idea of a sudden 'statement' either...
Well, I just got off the phone with a friend. She's a Bush supporter but does not have the time or inclination to follow news and politics as I do, so she'll call me when she wants more info.
She just called very concerned. Why? Because the radio station they listen to at her work carries CNN radio news and she just heard them say "We are losing, though we haven't lost yet", then the story went on to MIS-inform the listeners that not enough troops had been brought in, and we had underestimated Iraqi resistance.
Needless to say, I assured her all was well and to take what CNN says with a huge grain of salt. I don't like to inundate her with news stories and such, but asked her if she wanted me to send her news of the actual accomplishments, etc. and she said to please do so.
If anybody has a good article to suggest I would appreciate it. I'm off to look some up now.
From the movie Rudy (Gulianni)
It's the WMD's I'm worried about. That is the type of thing that might prompt an unscheduled briefing. I hope our guys were prepared if that's what happened. It's easy to let down your MOPP guard a bit after this much fighting.
Sort of. Years ago I overheard a friendly argument between two co-workers. It became distinctly unfriendly when one said to the other: "Well! At least I'm not a retired Kamikazi pilot!"
We ultimately found out the other one graduated Kamikazi school the day we bombed Hiroshima...
Could be. But I'm pretty sure we can take them without the 4 ID. Otherwise we wouldn't be pressing them so close, so soon before the 4 ID could be even partially "on site."
MSNBC speculating that the statement is not about action in Karbala. I'm on pins and needles at the moment.
