War is lost! The universe is collapsing in on itself. Tax cuts only benefit the rich. We are all doomed!! Well, I just got off the phone with a friend. She's a Bush supporter but does not have the time or inclination to follow news and politics as I do, so she'll call me when she wants more info.
She just called very concerned. Why? Because the radio station they listen to at her work carries CNN radio news and she just heard them say "We are losing, though we haven't lost yet", then the story went on to MIS-inform the listeners that not enough troops had been brought in, and we had underestimated Iraqi resistance.
Needless to say, I assured her all was well and to take what CNN says with a huge grain of salt. I don't like to inundate her with news stories and such, but asked her if she wanted me to send her news of the actual accomplishments, etc. and she said to please do so.
If anybody has a good article to suggest I would appreciate it. I'm off to look some up now.

Look at FoxNews...or look on NationalReviewOnline, especially The Corner, for links and good reporting.

Well, don't send her this thread! (Several freepers have already collapsed under it's weight!) Try the past few days at
Opinion Journal Online There is a Barry McCaffery article there that is pretty good. Monday's Peggy Noonan article is also quite good. (These aren't really hard news but good 'Don't Panic!' type of articles.)

At most, I'll bet they left her with the impression that we're losing.

The Wall St. Journal's website is excellent.
www.OpinionJournal.com.
You have to register, but it's free. I never miss their "Best of the Web Today" every afternoon. Informative and wickedly funny.

Try looking at some of Ralph Peters stories to see if they are appropos for your friend. I've been trying to "keyword" them with "ralphpeters" ... I'm pretty certain at least one will be great for her to see.

That sounds like Arnett is back at CNN.
