GET PROFESSOR DE GENERATE OF COLUMBIA U. FIRED - BUMP!

That should be a prime target today across the land for activist patriots, now that we have had success on humiliating Dixie Chicks, Michael Moore, and now Benedect Arnett. Not to mention the city council in New Jersey, one in California, and elsewhere for sedition.

These asses will get the message soon enough, not to fool with the American people.

If during a war state, they are anti-war, anti-American, they will learn to keep their mouths firmly shut.

By your reasoning, Hanoi Jane was within her rights as well. Is that your contention? I don't have a great deal of trouble making a distinction between speaking your mind in the United States as part of our right to free speech and making statements of support for the enemy on enemy state television with the express purpose of strengthening the enemy. People are fired in this country every day from lesser jobs and for far lesser offenses of exercising "freedom of speech".

He sounded to me like they were trying to kick him out of the country and he was trying to give them a reason to let him stay

So he decided the way to save his job was to go on Iraqi TV and basically trash the United States?

Good plan.

Ohhh, and NBC, and N.G., I guess you got the message pretty quick, eh? I see you completely did a 180 from yesterday, when you supported the actions of this chubby tub of sewage...

Now I think NBC should fire the idiots who issued NBC's assinine 1st response which solidly supported that traitor.

Isn't Arnett the guy in the first gulf war that reported the destroyed "Baby Milk Factory" story?

Can you commit treason against a country which you are not a citizen of?

I don't think so.

Reading the transcript, if in fact it was the entire transcript, is not the same as seeing the actual interview. In my opinion, his mannerisms in the interview were very sympathetic to the Iraqi regime.

As far as you saying in a post that I just read by you that you didn't see anything wrong in what he said, let me ask you this:

#1, How do you suppose he is correct in saying that our first war plan failed and that our generals are now taking a week off to rewrite the war plan? He couldn't possibly know if ANY war plan failed because he hasn't seen any war plans.

#2, How could he be correct in saying that we are taking a week off? He couldn't possibly "know" that and there is absolutely no evidence to back up what he said - in fact, there is an abundance of evidence all over the tv from the embedded reporters that he is absolutely wrong.

#3, He took credit for being responsible for the anti-war movement in the U.S by his broadcasting the civilians that are killed by the coalition attacks. How could he possibly "know" that any of the coalition attacks have killed any civilians in Iraq? And as much as he likes to think he is responsible for any anti-war movement in the US, those started well before Peter started broadcasting anything at all about civilian casualities the he claims were from coalition attacks. The coalition wasn't attacking anything when the anti-war movement began in this country.

As far as his firing being censorship, the government is not who shut him up, his employer was. That is not censorship.

Seems to me like his subsequent statement pretty much nullified his "apology"....

"Personally, I think its dangerous for us to be cheering the firing of a reporter for the reason of speaking his mind"

A reporter CAN speak his mind - just like everybody here. What makes it dangerous is his doing it while on the "payroll" as a journalist and spoke as a "journalist".

And it is dangerous in the sense that you screw up at work - they fire you. Happens every day. I screw up at home - they continue to love me. At work - bye bye you are gone.

What is so hard to understand here?

"(1) an intent to betray the United States, (2) an overt act, (3) proved by two witnesses, (4) providing aid and comfort"

Looks to me like he meets ALL the criteria.

"...when sworn into congress?"

No question about it! Not only congress, but state and local offices as well!!!

State and local office holders take and oath to "protect and defend the constitution(s)... (both US & State) from ALL enemies, both foreign and DOMESTIC!"

It means absolutely NOTHING to ANY of THEM!!!

A lot of people do not have Fox News.

They need information.

Matt and Katie most likely supported Arnett.

Would like to know where they really stand.

Lets make sure NBC gets the message.
