That was the most fun I've had in years as well as making me all the more proud to be an American and a Californian. I met vets from Vietnam, Korea and World War II. It was a true melting pot of Californians of all nationalities, races, religions and two species (a few patriotic canines). Hundreds of Old Glories, a few Union Jacks (wish I'd had mine) and one Gadsden flag, which of course was the first thing that caught my eye. I had been feeling low about missing the biker swap due to lack of sleep, but I was able to give several of the shirts and most of the stickers I had planned to sell at the swap, to people at the rally. (The stickers were easier to carry.) I didn't even know there was a peacenik protest going on downtown till I saw it on the news just now. Tip of Uncle Sam's top hat to Joshua Naggar (who was dressed as Uncle Sam) of http://www.supportamericamore.com for organizing this rally.

Today my wife was on the 405 Freeway in/near Irvine California (Orange County).
She said their were flag waving patriots on the freeway overpasses, slowing traffic.
Anti-war demonstrators generally don't work, or have cushy govt. jobs, so they can protest all seven days of the week.
OTOH Patriots generally work, and are only free on weekends for making it to demonstrations.
If this is a national phenomenon, maybe a few e-mails to news organizations would clue them.

I've been seeing spontaneous flag-waving by citizens all across Alabama, as well as what you've described for California.
The Left is in for a big surprise. This decade is not a repeat of their over-hyped 1960's counter-culture.

Excellent rally at PCH and Crenshaw - Huge turnout to say the least. And it was only one of three that I drove by on PCH today. Way to go, people!

I passed through Santa Fe, New Mexico yesterday, and a flag waving group at a major intersection was being loudly honked at by passing motorists. A flag bearing marathon runner was also involved - making a long circuit around town with an occasional pass through that same intersection.

She said their were flag waving patriots on the freeway overpasses, slowing traffic.Don't the anti-war protesters WANT traffic to slow down? Don't give them what they want.

saw about one dozen war protestors yesterday in Pasadena at Lake near the Macy's.
One guy was holding a sign that said "Honk for no war".
I heard one car honk in the 3 minutes I was stuck at the light and saw about 20 cars go by.
We laughed as we drove off and realized that nobody was honking at the anti-war protestors.
