Peter Arnett ( Takes credit for American Opposition to the War ) A MUST READ

JOHN GIBSON: "Peter Arnett, who is now employed as a correspondant by National Georgraphic Television, was interviewed by one of Iraq's Information Ministers on Iraq State TV.
He began interviewing Arnett about what is going on in Iraq and what is going on in America about the war.
What Peter Arnett said is that it is clear that is going on in the US is clear that there is a growing challange of Bush's conduct of the war and then Arnett seemed to take credit for that, by saying that HIS reports from Iraq are helping opposition grow. "
ARNETT:" It is clear that within the United States that there is growing challenge to President Bush and he conduct about the war. And it is clear that our reports here about the Iraqi civilian casualties in the war, and the resistance of the Iraqi forces, are going back to the United States, and it helps those who oppose the war and challenge the policies to develop their arguments. "
So Arnett did not acknowldege what is a Pentagon claim, that the Iraqi casualties could be from Iraqi missiles which are errant missiles which are falling back down on their own Iraqi population. But Arnett went on to claim credit for growing opposition in the United States, but claimed that the Pentagon's War is a failure.
ARNETT: "Now America is reappraising the battlefield plan and delaying the war, for maybe a week. The first war plan has failed because of Iraqi resistance. Now they are trying to write another war plan. "
Of course Peter Arnett is now working for the National Georgraphic program, he has a deal with NBC and appears on another cable network. He has been allowed to do whatever he wants. This while other news agencies have been kicked out of Iraq, including Fox News Channel and CNN. And in addition the Newsday Newspapers has two reporters missing and assumed to be held by authorities in Iraq, yet Peter Arnett is allowed to stay. I guess that we can come to our own conclusions, it appears that Peter Arnett is now operating in Iraq and doing Iraq great favors by his own estimation, in organizing opposition to the war, here in this country, in the United States by his reports, and by giving the Iraqis a growing sense of nationalism, because by his accounts, the initial war plan has failed, and the Iraqi opposition has sent the war planners back to the drawing board.
So there you have it, Peter Arnett in Iraq.

Now. Can these people get anymore transparent? No wonder Charlie Rangel was spouting off. They are getting a new game plan together. And it will fail. They are getting less and less rational with each failure. I'm expecting a Republican landslide in 2004 with close to 60 seats in the Senate, a gain in the House, and Dubya in the White House. Only then might we see a cleaning of our leftist media.
BTW, any link to Rangel's spouting?

from MSNBC linkE-mail him! We will publish his answers to your emails on the website.
I hope so I would love to see his response to freepers

That's part of the problem, to my thinking.
MSNBC should have immediately disowned Peter Quisling's remarks. Its unwillingness to do so and its equivocation render the network beneath contempt. I shall not be watching MSNBC, CNBC, or NBC news for a long, long time.

Let him stay in Iraq!

Start with the basics. No need to immediately cancel National Geographics subscriptions. Give them an opportunity to fire him. I would like to believe that National Geographics was as equally "shock and awe"d by arnett today as most of us were. PINK SLIP and revocation of citizenship would be a start. IMVHO, of course...

Arnett has become this war's version of Lord Haw Haw.

I just fired of my email to these shmucks:
I have just locked NBC, MSNBC and National Geographic channel out of all of my DirecTV receivers and they will remain that way.
If you have one shred of decency you will sever all ties with Peter Arnett immediately.
You owe a sincere apology to all the millions of Americans that you have offended, especially our armed services personnel and their families.
You may think it is acceptable for one of your representatives to give aid and comfort to our enemies in time of war, but as for me, I'd swing Peter Arnett from the nearest lamp post.
Congratulations on surpassing CNN as the premier anti-American network.

To me, this Arnett thing is as close to treason as you can get - right ...?? He's giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Even if he is lying about the war plan - because I'm sure we're not scraping the one we had; and surely not because of anything Arnett has said or not said.

Yes, and I wrote NBC an email. I'm actually going to write a snail mail letter tomorrow. Arnett's behavior is treasonous, and NBC is standing by him. Unbelievable.

That's J-DAM, but I agree with you.
Actually, I'd love to see a U.S. Marine "accidently" cap him in the "fog of war".

Bottom line is he lied, outright lied, saying his pics of civilians was leading people in majority of US to turn against Bush. Most of his rantings were lies. The only thing that was truthful was that he was attempting to sway public opinion against the war rather than report news and let people decide for themselves.
