God Bless our troops, families, and Canteeners. God Bless our Canadian, Israeli, British, Kiwi, and Aussie

Please stop in and say a prayer of protection for the military. Prayers from all denominations are needed.

Proud to be American

Music and Lyrics by Lee Greenwood

If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American where as least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,

From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,
Well, there’s pride in every American heart,
and it’s time to stand and say:

I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A

Dear Lord, Thank you, thank you, thank you for this country, this people, for our President and for the brave soldiers who are serving us and offering their lives for our safety and security. Help us to be worthy of their sacrifice and to honor them always. Encourage and comfort their families, those who are experiencing the loss of their dear one, and those who are living with the fear of their capture. Bless all these families for the gift of their child, husband, father, mother, wife, brother or sister and give them your peace.

Continue to give our president your wisdom and peace, Oh Father of us all, and protect his family.

We know that we battle not merely flesh and blood, but powers and principalities and we pray that the spiritual battle is won over the evil that infests the land of Iraq.

We pray also for the soldiers of our allies, and for their families. Protect them and guide them and their nations.

May we always remember that you have redeemed us and paid a great price. And we ask all this in the name of our Savior Jesus.

A PRAYER OF PROTECTION

The light of God surround you
The love of God enfold you
The power of God protect you
The presence of God watch over you
Wherever you are,God is,
And all is well.
Amen.

.

Bless This House

Bless this house O Lord we pray;
Make it safe by night and day;
Bless these walls so firm and stout,
Keeping want and trouble out:
Bless the roof and chimneys tall,
Let thy peace lie over all;
Bless this door, that it may prove
ever open to joy and love.

Bless these windows shining bright,
Letting in God's heav'nly light;
Bless the hearth a'blazing there,
with smoke ascending like a prayer;
Bless the folk who dwell within,
keep them pure and free from sin;
Bless us all that we may be
Fit O Lord to dwell with thee;
Bless us all that one day we
May dwell O Lord with thee.
