God Bless our troops, families, and Canteeners. God Bless our Canadian, Israeli, British, Kiwi, and Aussie
Brothers and Sisters in arms. And for our other Allies that I didn't mention as well.
Please stop in and say a prayer of protection for the military. Prayers from all denominations are needed.
What wonderful words for these trying times. Thank you for your weekly message Chaplain. It blesses all of us beyond what you know. Bless you.
I want to thank you all for your prayers and well wishes for my father and for my family.
I spoke with my sister yesterday and she told me that Dad was home and resting, he seems to be doing okay. My mom has to make an appointment for him to see his doctor on Monday to see what can be done to make his heart stop acting so "goofy". My sister also told me that they had to increase his medication.
But all praise goes to God! and to FREEPER prayers! :^)
KATHY, Thanks for including the Canadian flag in your lineup of allies!
46 degrees as I post this . . .

Beautiful prayers and images, all....IF you would allow me, I'd like to share some of my thoughts I had this morning...
I was walking my doggie and she was pouncing around playing, I noticed the grass is FINALLY getting green again, and the willow trees are budding green, as we walked by the lake I watched the ducks & geese swim around carelessly and I thought about all that I had to do today (you know, busy me) still have that 100 pages of research to read, and 2 essays to write, and a little cleaning left and study group today for school..the sky was so blue and I wished I could just have a lazy day...then all of the sudden I remembered we were at war, and I thought about our service members across the world and what THEY have to face today and I felt guilty for wanting to just laze around...and then I felt sad that they were sacraficing every simple little thing about life that we take for granted every day and I cried for my selfishness as much as for our troops....and I said a Massive prayer pleading with God to keep all of them safe from further harm, and protect those that are MIA and POW. Anyhow...just my thoughts this morning.

> The soldier stood and faced God
> Which must always come to pass
> He hoped his shoes were shining
> Just as brightly as his brass.
> > "Step forward now, you soldier,
> How shall I deal with you?
> Have you always turned the other cheek?
> To My Church have you been true?"
> > The soldier squared his shoulders and
> said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't
> Because those of us who carry guns
> Can't always be a saint.
> > I've had to work most Sundays
> And at times my talk was tough,
> And sometimes I've been violent,
> Because the world is awfully rough.
> > But, I never took a penny
> That wasn't mine to keep...
> Though I worked a lot of overtime
> When the bills got just too steep,
> > And I never passed a cry for help,
> Though at times I shook with fear,
> And sometimes, God forgive me,
> I've wept unmanly tears.
> > I know I don't deserve a place
> Among the people here,
> They never wanted me around
> Except to calm their fears.
> > If you've a place for me here, Lord,
> It needn't be so grand,
> I never expected or had too much,
> But if you don't, I'll understand."
> > There was a silence all around the throne
> Where the saints had often trod
> As the soldier waited quietly,
> For the judgment of his God,
> > "Step forward now, you soldier,
> You've borne your burdens well,
> Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
> You've done your time in Hell."
> > > To all that serve or have served
I am just sorry that I didn't have this Sunday. God Bless our military.
