OMGOODNESS!
Neil Cavuto, Sr. Business Editor and Anchor on FNC, apparently received an email from an "Ivy League Professor" chiding him for his "bias," telling him that a "real journalist" isn't supposed to be so obviously on the side of the United States in this conflict, telling him that he "betrays journalistic ethics" by so doing.
Cavuto stated that he wouldn't read the professor's name or affiliation, because what he was about to say in reply was so scathing and personal that he wanted to feel free to say it.
Then he LAUNCHED man!
Wish I had a transcript! In essence he told this elitist that he ought to be ashamed for benefitting from the freedom and liberty afforded by this country without showing the least amount of respect or gratitude for it.
If I can find Neil's words, I am GOING to post them! He was almost shaking, he was so angry, but he managed somehow to keep his composure! But he DRILLED this guy!
It was something to witness!

Thanks to the both of you, Illbay, for printing out Cavutos commentary on the thread, and merrin for the link to Neil...
I watched Neil deliver this commentary today, and he was on fire....he speaks the absolute truth, pulls no punches, and gets everyones attention..gotta love that guy...
I have been printing out Cavutos commentaries, that he has been giving this week...each one has been a gem..I want to to keep a paper copy to whip out whenever I want...also sending copies of his commentaries to all my friends and family...
Thank the Lord, for such a clear thinking, level headed, blunt speaking man as Neil Cavuto...

It was awesome.

Any American reporter dumb enough to appear neutral during WWII probably would have had a very short life span. It's one thing to criticize the policies of your country. But I'd bet that most of these professors outright hate their country. I knew a few at my old college.

I think Cavuto has been eating his wheaties this week. For three days in a row he has taken the gloves off in his commentary. He's speaking from his heart and he's not happy with the stupidos right now. Phew, what a guy!!

I heard it. I had to turn around to see the tv when I heard what he was saying. I thought I missed the name of the professor, but I guess not. Cavuto was great.

Cavuto's rant was so personal that I wondered if he knew the professor.

sounds more like he just had an argument with somoene who can't argue back. thats more cowardly than drilling.Sounds like you should plug your pie hole, watch the rerun, and then comment. (Although there's no gaurantee anyone will give a fly'n about your opinion then either.)

Thanks for posting this...It's right on target! Wow! Cavuto kicks butt! (Though I do wish you didn't dislike us patriotic Sons of Confederate Veterans so much - many of us have fought and are fighting for this country...and our Stars & Stripes as well as our respective All-American history)

Not to worry. My son goes to a liberal college and just LOVES to argue with his profs. He gets A's too! If you raise them "right", they won't stray too far!

...That was one of the best verbal butt kickings I've seen on TV.....
My picture was Neil armed with a razor, or a flint chip. He repeatedly drew the super sharp instrument across the Professors flesh and in a moment blood would begin to seep and then pour from the incision. And then there were more and then more incisions.
The Professor was cut to shreads and was a bloody mass, lying on the floor gasping for relief.

This seems to be something they are taught in journalism class. That it is somehow "biased" to even admit you are an American. Shepherd Smith was criticized by the St Petersburg Liberal Flaming Rag Times for calling our troops "us" and the Iraqi enemy troops "the enemy". (Don't ask me - seems pretty stupid to me too.) And you remember all the fuss about Cablevision 12 on Long Island and ABC wouldn't let their anchors wear flag pins after the WTC was destroyed.
I don't know where this horrible concept began, that you can't be unbiased if you are proud of your country. Self-loathing is such a sad legacy of the liberal.
