The Democratic Party is at war with itself over what to do in Iraq. As U.S. and British warplanes pounded Iraq this week in preparation for a major, perhaps pivotal ground assault on Baghdad, the divide among Democrats over the Middle East conflict was deepening.

"But if he ( former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean ) were to win the presidential nomination, he has all the cloned characteristics of a McGovernite liberal that Mr. Bush would love to run against — after defeating Saddam."

There would be no "HANGING CHAD" issue in that race!

"People don't know what to say half the time about the war. They do not hear a clear message. The activists are being left to formulate their own position without much guidance from the national party."
This says it all. We don't know what to think unless we're told by our fearless leaders. But it's not about "what to think" but rather what to say to best position ourselves to take back power. What a worthless bunch.

These people want definite answers to their questions... I want to know what stocks will make me money; I want to know which political condidate will best serve the nation before I vote... I, I, I want answers....

To be caught in the trap of public ANSWERS is to play a fools game. Hopefully, Rumsfield will start dealing with these folks who want answers by asking them for answers, too!

Republican National Political startegy should be able to turn this, Answer stragety by the democrats/Anti-American crowd back on them by asking for definite answers to Our Questions:)

Among the Democratic front-runners, Sens. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, John Kerry of Massachusetts and John Edwards of North Carolina, and Rep. Dick Gephardt of Missouri, are supporting Mr. Bush's mission to get rid of Saddam Hussein once and for all."

Wait a minute . . . if John -- BJ Jr. -- Edwards is a "front-runner," what does that make Al Sharpton?

"Mr. Kerry and Mr. Edwards were overheard on the Senate floor last week complaining about Mr. Dean's relentless attacks on them, charging he has taken inconsistent positions on the war before audiences."

Bwahahahahah!!! "That's not fair," Sen. Exlax could have said, "Those are tactics we use during the election against the Republicans. We're not supposed to be two faced until AFTER the primaries."

The war our brave military is fighting overseas, is an extension of the war we are fighting at home. The Democratic Crime Syndicate should become extinct as a political force in The United States of America.

I don't see Daschle and Pelosi reaching out beyond the Beltway to position the party on the war and larger national security issues that are at stake in its prosecution

Tried that. Couldn't stand the incoming that resulted.

Don't count on it. The rats will stop at nothing. Old tricks are new again with them.

Translation - Our people are simply too stupid to articulate their position,
especially when you consider that non of them have thought for themselves since Clinton took office, or maybe even before then.

The head of the CIA, George TENET....a Democrat, I'm sure, since he was a Clintonite, is the Democrat's secret weapon.

I truly belive that George Tenet has given George Bush BAD nformation. I pray I'm wrong....but NEVER.....EVER....trust a Democrat!

How can they be in disarray when they are successful in everything they attempt? From bouncing good judicial nominees to firebombing our desperately needed tax cut, they seem to be very organized to me.

Any semblance of democrat disorder with respect to our current war is only planned subterfuge. It is a common technique of the democrats to present a chaotic, chimera like front to the nation concerning any issue they have no real solution for. It allows them to change their opinion at a moments notice to better match popular opinion.

Funny thing. I know what to say about the war, and I don't need Bush/Cheney/Hastert/Frist to coach me...

Don't get your hopes up. Dimocrats are not very intelligent, so it follows that they have short attention spans and short memories.

The war will eventually end, and the occupation will begin. Dimocrats will have plenty of opportunities to mend their fences, and throw rocks at the Republicans.

His "true believer" followers don't care. They're following the West Wing script. Dean is their "Jed Bartlett" ---little-known idealistic New England Gov. (Vermont instead of New Hampshire) who, with little backing, knocks out all the sold-out, corrupt politicians.

More misinformation to give the appearance, and elected liberals cover to say later that they were unconditional supportive of our military personal.

Everytime anyone of the elected liberals or their consultants speak, they lie, they are beginning to sound like Saddam and his terrorists.
