Los Angeles Chapter FRN (HRF) - Rallys for America at the Oscars - Thread One
Welcome to one of several media presentation pages that will reveal what it was like to attend the Hollywood Resistance Force Rally at the 75th Annual Oscar Awards ceremony. On this page you will find GIFs, JPEGs, and MOV movie clips. The movie clips range from 0.7 to 1.3 megabytes in size. They are not profound by any means, but they do show what was going on out there. Each plays for around ten to fifteen seconds.

This is a photo that was placed on the live Oscar thread. It is the best shot I have of our group from across the street. I appologize for not crediting the contributor here, but did credit them on our first after Freep thread, linked above.
This three frame montage gives a decent perspective of the Hollywood Boulevard and Hyland Avenue intersection. You are looking at the southwest corner from the northeast corner. The black car on the left is on Hollywood Boulevard. It will have to turn right (north) on Hyland. The Kodak Theater is located in the middle of the next block on Hollywood Boulevard. Click on any of these graphics for a larger version.
Here is another shot of the Hollywood Boulevard and Hyland Avenue intersection. You're looking south on Hyland, with Hollywood crossing to the right.
After the freep, the Hollywood Resistance Force gathered at the Holiday Inn for dinner. In attendence were LA Chapter members and other Freepers as well as new friends who wanted to join us. Here we're discussing things we liked, and things we'd like to change for our next Freep. We also discussed future plans for the Chapter, and upcoming events. RonDog, center right enters his name on the roster. We do this at each gathering so that we'll make sure to include new members and update our files on current members.
Here is another photo of our evening gathering.
Okay, this is the last one of our evening gathering, promise.
Press Photographs
Check that out. Limos had to come right by our position, facing our direction. Peace protesters were somewhat hidden on the south side of the street, to the right and behind the limos as they entered the intersection and turned left. Click on any of these graphics for a larger version.
The Saddam Hussein sign was great. This person infiltrated the marxist group and paraded this sign up and down in their midst. Love it.
Yep, these appeared in the press. Here's the last one.
It's pretty hard to say that these folks are not supportive of Bush. None the less, this photo showed up in the press. Miracles never cease.
I probably shouldn't do this, but I thought a little tribute to Michael Moore was in order. This photo showed up on Yahoo's news service. I guess you could say I took a few liberties...
Video Clips
These QuickTime MOV video clips are 0.75 to 1.35 megabytes in size. They play for around 10 to 15 seconds.
Our protesters clip two. Chanting, "USA All the Way!":
Their protesters clip two. Whew, look at those signs. At least a few are ours.
Limosines drive past our position to the entrance of the Kodak Theater.
The Saturn Ion blimp flew over the event for hours. Clip one.
This is a much closer look at the Saturn Ion blimp. Clip Two
Here a member of the press takes a photo of a Freeper with the Bush cutout.
Here's another view of the CommieWoodKills.com banner.
Ambulance w/police motorcade arrives at the rear entrance to the Regincy Hotel around 8:00 p.m. I didn't see a news report to indicate what happened.
Many stars stayed at this hotel.
At this time I'd like to remind folks what this was all about. I support Bush's actions regarding this war effort, and I think about him often these days, but when push comes to shove, these are the guys whose welfare is on my mind constantly.
Well folks, that's about it. Until the next time, Freep On!
I looked closely, but could not tell...
Try this. It's the best I could do. On the video it's plain. Sorry about that.

I think there are more stars who support the troops than we know. They are afraid of being black listed. Let's call it like it is!
