Cranberry Township Rally for America
3.25.03 | Badray

Posted on 03/25/2003 6:44:18 PM PST by Badray

Rally For America!

Sunday March 30th, 1:30 PM

Celebrate our freedom and the troops that defend it!

Cranberry Twp Municipal Center 2525 Rochester Road Cranberry Twp PA

(North of Pittsburgh, PA.) - Just minutes from the junctions of I79 and the PA Turnpike and Rte 228 and Rte 19 in Cranberry Township. Follow 19 north approximately 1 mile to Rochester Road on left. Turn left onto Rochester Road and go to the Municipal Center, which is just down the road on the left. You'll see the crowd. There is plenty of free parking at the site.

Speakers include State Sen. Jane Orie, State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, radio talk show host Jerry Bowyer, and others including Nikki Mendicino - an inspiring 14 year old 'decorated Honorary Veteran.' PLUS everyone who wants to voice their support for the troops will be given an opportunity to speak.

The weather forecast is for cloudy morning skies giving way to sunshine in the afternoon, with a high around 40 and some wind. But NO RAIN OR SNOW! Dress appropriately. Whatever the weather conditions, they do not begin to compare with the weather or the conditions in Iraq. Therefore, no weather related excuses will be accepted. ;-)

Bring your signs and flags. Bring your neighbors, friends, coworkers and all of the kids. Bring your mother in law. Just be there and bring your spirit and energy.

More importantly, bring something from the following list for the troops.

SERVICE MEMBERS' WISH LIST Travel Size Personal & Miscellaneous Items

Disposable razors / tooth brushes / tooth paste / shampoo / conditioner / shower gel / baby wipes / hand lotion / lip balm / sunscreen / cotton swabs / sewing kits

Compact Discs / Current Movies on DVD / CD/DVD Cases with Zipper / Disposable Cameras / Crossword Puzzle Books / Sunglasses / Pre-paid Global Calling Cards / Stationery and Journals / Small Footballs, Softballs / Playing cards / Individually Wrapped Snack Items / Shoe Polish Kits

Everything collected will be shipped by the Red Cross directly to our men and women in the Middle East.

Is the Pope Catholic? Does a bear $#!+ in the woods?

Of course, they are. But it's real close if you talk about the original store up in Sharon PA. Climo's makes theirs with spices, not with sauces. Less messy, too.

There are lots of good restaurants all thru the area. Whatever you like, there is a restaurant for it. Probably 20 pizza joints within a mile or so, and they are all good.

There are lots of good restaurants all thru the area.

Yeah, Cranberry really sprang up in the middle of nowhere to become a lot of shopping centers almost overnight. I think its because it's just across the line in Butler County and has (had??) a slightly lower sales tax than Allegheny County. (I've been away too long to know if that's still true or not.)

Anyway, although I'm certain that there's ALL kinds of different restaurants there, I was recommending King's as a good, all-around, family style restaurant. Come as you are, bring the kids, good menu selection, good quality, reasonably priced, good ice-cream/deserts menu, etc. etc.

I noticed on other threads that some Freepers also bring their Freeper kids to these rallys, so I thought I'd make a family-oriented recommendation. Something a little different than the Burger King/ Mickey D's routine.

"... reasonably priced,..."

LOL WG, You must have forgotten. All these 'rich republicans' can afford to eat anywhere they choose. No, wait. That's not it. The GOP is paying everyone to be there and giving them boxed lunches just for riding the bus to the rally. Which is it? I get so confused. ;-)

" Please tell me that a bunch of Freepers will actually be coming right to my "little" town!"

It's true. In fact, there will be so many of us, people will believe that we are going to take over. LOL I better see you there.

Unfortunately, Ray, I am in Jacksonville, FL attending to my mom's "honey do" list, and will not be in the area next Sunday.

You know that if I were able to attend, I would.

Hope you have a huge turnout, and that the Rally is a spectacular success!
