It is precisely because if we did nothing, that flood of terrorist acts was inescapable... 9/11 being the first wave of many that were sure to follow. It is absolute idiocy to suggest that the war in Iraq is encouraging something that is not already a very real problem. Apparently Ms. Rowley thinks that we would all just frolic in daisies and live in a peaceful utopia if we just left Iraq alone. What an imbecile! Neville Chamberlain would just love her!

Most men growing up faced a bully at one time or another. There were two ways to handle a bully:

Clinton's way - The way of appeasement, which would result in forever your losing your lunch money on a daily business.

The Bush Way - You fought. Maybe you got your ass kicked, but you got in some punches and you kept your money and the problem was over. Perhaps you and the bully eventually even became friends, because he now respected you. No one ever lost respect by standing up to a bully.

So Ms. FBI whistle blower, the terrorists have been taking our lunch money for years and now we are standing up to them. I say we fight the fight and put this behind us for good.

Mizzzzz Rowley says the FBI didn't do enough to stop 9/11, but there's nothing the FBI can do to stop terrorists.

This war is costing us an estimated 70 billion bucks a month. I wonder what type of security system we could setup here in America with that kind of money.

I would imagine we could Xray every piece of cargo that comes off every ship and barge. Inspect every railroad car that comes across our borders. Fully Xray every piece of cargo that enters by air. Put the proper gear in place to track every person who sneaks across our borders and still have enough to buy off Saddams upper staff, perhaps we might even persuade someone to put a .44 round into Saddam's entire family.

$72,000,000,000.00 is one helluva lot of taxpayers dollars. Roughly, we had to earn $210,000,000,000.00 bucks for the Feds to be spending the 72 billion and America is still going to be vulnerable to terrorists.

Now if we end up sending the UN to the dump, the men and women who die for this war will be worth it.

That's just my opinion.

Perhaps I'm reading the letter wrong, but I don't think that Mrs. Rowley is against the war on Iraq. I think she is concerned that the FBI is not being totally honest with the American public about dealing with terrorism.
