Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...
TOPICS: Breaking News; Foreign Affairs; War on Terror
KEYWORDS: bellygirl; iraq; iraqifreedom; live; war

I trust that we have a good strategy. I suspect that's why we haven't seen much in Baghdad itself after the initial leadership attacks, but have been hearing a lot of rumbling on the BaghdadCams.

Love him! Gracin is my fave. Hope he wins.
To: Wyatt's Torch
he was very good...simon doesn't know anything about this type of music and doesn't know what to say..just says "great"
To: RummyChick
Just watched him sing the Garth song. That was his perfect song. Not sure if it makes it in a "pop" contest.

I love the one with Saddam and the devil in bed!

I'm on a dial up and images are okay with me as long as their kept under 100 k each. Those 300 k jobbers strain the pipe here.
And yes, I've checked for DSL, (too far). Adelphia has been promising cable for years here.
I'm in Internet hell as far as fat pipe.
To: DollyCali
We don't want the thread to turn into a graphics battle. I doubt that pictures of South Park and Mel Gibson are needed by people who are interested in news about the war. There are plenty of places people can do that. Let's try and keep this one on-topic.

Not for post 4000, but maybe for 5,000 (not that I'm promising anything here).

holy moly that boy Gracvin just tore it up, one of the best AI oerformances I have ever seen. (I've never missed an ep, season on or two)
War info...if Gracin has to leave idol to go to Iraq for marines stuff, AI said he can have his position back whenever he returns hopefully by ep 3.
that was cheating huh?

Putin is such a major disappointment!! He had the opportunity to change the complexion (no pun) of his country and help them toward better things and all he can muster is his old-line KGB responses. So sad for them.
The idiot not only denies the allegations of Russian companies selling illegal stuff to Iraq, he goes on to say that further allegations will strain US/Russian relations!! Geeze. Cold War starting up again?
Major, major disappointment. I've just never understood the Russians!! I realize many of their neighbors are rather unsavory but always behaving with deception and denial and confrontation....it's just never made sense to me. The Russians are cloaked, and secretive, and paranoid.

What will happen is a stressed out dad, whose kid is MIA, wounded , or killed to see one of these signs.. & he opens up on them with a rifle.
I will contribute to his insanity defense fund.
