Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

I am amazed by that intersection. Those people have absolutely no regard for traffic signals, and yet not a single accident.

I hate it when there's only dound. Well, the singer sounded like Buckwheat, so I'd say it was "dound."

This morning I watched a television station doing a story on one of their local boys, a specialist in the Army who was part of a team that would get called in anytime chem/bio weapons were found...
He was asked if he'd gone into Iraq yet (interview was in Quatar). He said yes, several times.
Asked if they found any WMD, he did the usual "cannot confirm or deny..." routine. When pressed he smiled and said "in due time."

I lost video as well. I closed my browse and opened a new one and went back, and now I have video and audio again. Now it looks dark again...like the power got knocked out. We had lights on in Bagdad less than 10 minutes ago.
maybe that thump had somthing to do with that...

Letsee, We've knocked out Iraqi TV but didn't hurt the day care center it was beside. 300-500 bad guys have just been killed near Najar. The paramilitary Iraqis are firing on Basra Civilians because they (civs) are trying to rise up against the Iraqis. As many as 5000 (Iheard since March 15) Iraq ex-pats have headed back into Jordan with whatever weapons they have to fight for Iraq against the allies. Not fighting for Saddam necessarily.

Fox - Brett Baer reports 300 enemy killed. A few U.S. vehicles attacked and destroyed. Could be RG or irregulars.
To: US_Pride
"in due time."Makes me smile too.
