***Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - Day 6 - LIVE THREAD***
Multiple ^ | 25 March 2003 | Various

Posted on 03/24/2003 8:59:27 PM PST by An.American.Expatriate

Good Morning.

This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.

It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.

Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:

Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

This is a concerted effort to undermine the President and to erode American confidence.

With every word out of their mouth. It's their only agenda. Forget about reporting and informing the public about any interesting information - it's all about making the president and his administration look bad.

It's time Bush played harball with these moderates. Any of them up in 2004 so we can run conservatives against them in the primaries?

I'd also suspect that a high-wind sandstorm would make most chemical weapons totally useless.

Great point!

I don't doubt that they have stuff hiden in their mosques. They know that our troops will try to avoid hitting civilians and civilian buildings, so what better place to hide WMD than a place of worship? Saddam is playing dirty, but we'll get him in the end. The good guys always win in the end.

I totally agree, and it scares me silly.

You two are pretty squared away folks on FR. The WMD issue has been addressed by the military. They are well trained. They will prevail.

that's what I've got on but didn't hear any sirens. All I can hear is something that sounds like a motor running constantly in the background. But I did hear the big booms.

I've seen reports that the desert conditions in Iraq are the best places to use chem weapons. The heat and the wind helps to spread them.
