Kofi Annan just announced that once the war is over, UN inspections will continue. What the hell is this pygmy smoking?

The U.N. swoop in after they fail. Their whole web page of news is like they are Mother Teresa or something, who the hell do they think they are?
Overpaid drug-toking whoremongering ineffective diplomats who accomplish nothing useful and had better find something mildly useful so that ther rest of the world doesn't see just how useless they really are and terminate their sinecures at the U.N.?
I'm laughing at these losers.
Given the generous "administrative" fees they get from Food For Oil, these parasites are planning to reap greater profits from the Iraq war.
These leeches are going to be difficult to dislodge after the war. They'll be trying to suck money out of poor Iraq for years to come.

Khofi is starting to remind me of Kim : practically jumping around, screaming and waving his hands in the air in order to bring attention to that irrelevant debating society that he runs.
Inspections might continue, because I believe President Bush would rather keep the UN around in some form, but neither the inspections nor the future of the UN is guaranteed.
IF some inspectors are allowed to sniff around after our troops finish doing THE INSPECTORS' jobs for them, we should use our veto power to ensure that Blixie, ElBuddyBoy, and no French, German, Chinese, Canadian or Russian inspectors are allowed. Obvious conflicts of interest.

"I now hear the Chirac wants the UN to make sure tha the US and Britian don't have the say in post war Iraq."If Khofi is still mindlessly muttering about continuing UN business as usual, as though the allies aren't wiping out Saddam's elite troops left and right, it looks like he plans on going along with Jaques.

Chirac said on Saturday that the U.S. and Brits won't be involved in governing Iraq (that'll be through the U.N.), although we will foot the reconstruction bills.
Today Kofi says Blix will be back on the WMD trail pretty soon.
These guys are completely delusional.

"Elected for a five-year term that began in January 1997, and re-elected for a second five-year term that began in January 2002.
Sigh..."
We need to be careful what we wish for. As long as we're a part of the UN (hopefully not much longer), I'm ok with Kofi. Actually, I'm mortally terrified that he'll step down before we can withdraw, and Slick Willie will take his place. Once the Dims get their man in the position of unelected president of planet Earth, we'll NEVER be able to extricate ourselves.

I don't think most Americans see Kofi, period. It would be interesting to do a poll to see what name recognition he has. Please, someone, how did this nonentity get to be head of the UN?

The same thing that Target is apparently smoking: Subject: Target Stores
Vietnam Veterans Association
By Dick Forrey
We asked our local Target store to be a sponsor of the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Wall during our spring recognition event. We received back a reply from Target management that "veterans do not meet our area of giving." We only donate to the areas of the arts, social actions, gay and lesbian causes and education.
My thought: If the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and veterans in general, do not meet their donation criteria, something is wrong at Target.
We were not asking for thousands of dollars, not even hundreds, but simply sponsorship of an endorsement for a "memorial remembrance."
As follow-up, I emailed the corporate headquarters and their response was the same. Personally, I will NOT be purchasing anything at Target Stores again. If the Vietnam Veteran or Veterans in general do not meet their area of giving, then why should I, as a Vietnam veteran, spend my hard earned money in their stores?
Please pass this on to as many people as you know.
Sincerely,
Veterans Helping Veterans
PS: Target will also not allow the Marines to collect for Toys For Tots during the holidays.

As I understand the UN Charter, no citizen of a Security Council permanent member can be Secretary General of the UN.
It is possible that Clinton has bought citizenship from another nation.

Was that "uninspections" or UN inspections? What's UN? The UN-American UN? Or maybe he means automotive inspections?

The little idiot is hell bend to achieve two aims.
1) Remain relevant during the transformation of the middle east.
2) Get his hands on the Iraqi petrodollars.

Dixie, I used to work for Target and was pretty heavily involved in their corporate volunteer programs when I was there. I know that they don't do Toys for Tots any more - their corporate policy is to only have the Salvation Army out in front of the stores during the holidays. It's more a matter of controlling access to the stores rather than picking and choosing based on politics. They made a decision to have one charity only; they do that for the same reason they don't have pop machines and kiddie rides in front of their stores, unlike the Marts; they don't want shoppers to have to run a gauntlet of solicitations when they enter the store.
As for the veterans memorial - I'm not sure about that. I do know that Target's big push in corporate giving has been and remains education. They used to be a pretty big supporter of Planned Parenthood but they dropped that entirely a few years ago. And while there may have been some monies for AIDS Walks and things like that, gay/lesbian issues are not a big part of Target's corporate giving at all. The people who founded Target are the Dayton family, who are big-time limousine liberals and have given the nation the dubious gift of Sen. Mark Dayton, a grim and dim fellow we Minnesotans will be trying to remove in 2006, but the current leadership at Target is much less political in their corporate giving. I would suggest having the veterans groups contact the folks who run Target's corporate giving at the national level - they might get more traction than they think. Seriously. Freepmail me and I'd be happy to give you a contact name.
