Troop Prayer Thread 3

A number of us have recently decided to form an active prayer circle here to pray for our Troops. We have many fine young men and women known to us here at FreeRepublic.com serving in the Army, Navy, Marines, Airforce and Coast Guard. Several on our troop list to date actually are registered in the forum, and have become known to us personally among the constellation of Freepers.

If you would like to submit someone for our list, you are welcome to do so at any time. Post their name or pseudonym here on the thread or freepmail amom or myself. If we have made any errors, please let us know so that we may correct the list. We will be making periodic updates.

We invite everyone, active Freepers and Lurkers alike to join our circle in prayer for these fine men and women who have volunteered to place their lives on the line for the defense of our nation and for the liberation of the oppressed peoples of other nations. To them we send our greatest respect and gratitude. We send them our prayers and good thoughts. We ask for God's blessing upon them and their families.

For those of us who have somewhat limited computer capacity, we request that graphics be limited to pictures of loved ones for whom we are offering prayers, special visuals that seem particularly approprieate, and non-moving graphics. Thank you.

Our Father in Heaven,
We place before you Jonathan from Eagle, Idaho. He has a birthday coming up on April 7th. Please grant him an extraordinary gift and blessing of Light and Love on his 21st birthday. Enfold him while he is on the field of battle. Comfort and reassure his family and friends while he is absent. Let the ties of the heart between this fine young man and his loved ones be strengthened despite the distance and time of separation facing them.

Father, we are grateful for Jonathan's decision to serve this nation in her military. Guide him, guard him, direct, and protect him has he fulfills the duties to which his honor has called upon him to perform. Let angels clear the way before him and grant him light feet and quick mind in times of danger. This which we call forth for Jonathan, we ask that you would grant for each and every soldier in our coalition of the willing for the liberation of Iraq. We forget not our other troops stationed in Afghanistan and other outposts throughout the world. Grant them your blessings this day too.

Thank you so much for posting the report on the prayer vigil being held in Fredericksburg, VA. This is so very encouraging and inspiring to see our fellow countrymen knocking on the doors of Heaven for our troops and allies. Truly the prayers and commitment of the majority of Americans and her allies' people who love God will make the difference in the way the battle will go.

I just wanted to let you know that my son Karl entered Iraq on Tuesday. He is an Infantryman in the National Guard in support of the 101st Airborne Division and I guess they are all heading to Baghdad.
