Dan Rather, er Blather, said (according to another post) that none of the injuries were life-threatening. FNC's home page says that 6 of the victims were injured "seriously."

Given that grenades are involved, I wouldn't be surprised if there is significant loss of limb. Rather's use of "not life-threatening is disingenuous at best, deceitful at worst.

Pic doesn't show whether the guy is a Moslem or not, but it makes it very clear that he is black. If they're giving us pictures, I wonder when they'll give us a name.

All you can see is the very top of his head - looks like he may be black, but he's seated on the gound mostly hidden under a big coat.

According to the Washington Post, one of the soldiers is already dead. I guess that makes it a murder charge.

Agreed. All the black servicemen I've had the priviledge of knowing have been 110% patriotic. Muslim is definitely the issue, not race.

I'll chip in toward buying the bullets.

Yeah the guy is scum if he did what they're saying. No mercy whatsoever for him.

You're absolutely right!

May God continue to watch over and bless our military heroes.

Exact same MO of John "Snipe Guy" Muhammad, I believe he pulled the same shight in Gulf War I, by throwing a grenade in a tent. Of course he wasn't officially caught, but everyone knew it was him.

It is clear that being Muslim prohibits them from fighting in this war. See my other post

When I read this story on the Internet this morning (via cell phone Yahoo) I was more pissed at the American Army for not ensuring base camp security.

Stupid me, I never thought that it would be a traitor in our own ranks who did this. I (blushing now) assumed that the grunts had just been lax in rear echelon security.

I was thinking the exact same things!

Who would have figured that the terrorists would be one of our very own Volunteers?

We are in a very new and different sort of War my Brothers!

We shall prevail against these vermin!

We are going to kick their asses and they shall know what Americans are really capable of!

Let's Roll!

Latest from Sky News url:

"In recent days they were concerned about his behaviour and were not going to send him up to the front when the soldiers were going to be deployed." It is not clear whether the soldier, who Ramsay said would have been in the Gulf for some weeks, had planned the attack before being deployed. "To be honest we just do not know," Ramsay said. "Talking to other soldiers, it could be that he was disgruntled. They said he had been acting 'weird' for days." Eleven soldiers who were seriously hurt were flown out of the camp by helicopter.

It was thought a second man was involved.

Ramsay said a criminal investigation is now being carried out. *** I copied it and that's that. If the format bothers any of you, hold your fire.

Now, they're backing off at Fox regarding his muslimness.

Jihad is considered a good deed, but is explicitly not one of the five pillars of the Islamic faith. FWIW.

the fact he is black has nothng to do with being a traitor.....the only thing it will do is give ammuntion to all the racists in our midst...

If he did this he needs to stand before a firing squad......

This is so sad. "Loss of limb" would mean the loss of life as they know it, even it it's not their physical life. I pray that the soldiers wounded will be completely healed. I thought I had read that 11 of those wounded had to be air lifted out? That would imply serious wounds.

Do they do psychological testing on military recruits?
