We had a GREAT turnout for our Rally for America in Raleigh today. Crowd estimates are between 500-750 people. The weather was great, the speakers and singers were awesome and awe inspiring.
I am SO PROUD to be an American and part of Free Republic. I can't begin to tell you the dozens of people that came up to us today to thank us for sponsoring this rally.
I'll let all that attended post their reports here and I'll have the pictures up soon.

It was a well-done rally. I was there with my brother and his family and it was very good to see the size of this turnout based on the amount of time you had to put it together.

It rocked..........and only due to the incredible efforts of you and Constitution Day. We salute you.......:)

The Rally was wonderful. It was truly inspiring to have a great turnout. I am so pleased that Maha Alattar, from Women for a Free Iraq, was with us. I wish the Anti-War/Anti-Bush crowd would listen to her story.
Alexandra Phillips the 11 year old who sung
wow
Congressman Billybob was fantastic
Jim Snyder as always a true Statesman
Conway Brooks Go 82nd Airborne
Pastor Ron Aldridge gave us an inspirational message
Senator Patrick Ballentine next Governor from North Carolina?
Jerry Agar the ever present voice of reason on WPTF
Susan Mills President of the NC Federation of Republican Women and a fine speaker
Mark and Nikola Pergerson we couldnt have found better Patriotic Singers
I can't thank mykdsmom, Diane (I can't remember her freeper name) and ConstitutionDay enough for all their hard work.
I saw some news coverage...not as much as I would have thought and News 14 is carrying the Chapel Hill Rally but not ours...maybe they will pick it up yet. WTVD said that we had over a hundred people at the rally technically they are right we did have over a hundred but give me a break!!!
I still haven't come down from the emotional high of the Rally for America.

The friend that was with my mom and me must have written what will be her freep name kind of funny. It should read "bob's babe". No harm done. I still need to check out my pictures. It was great to be up there among so many like-minded people. You and CD did a wonderful job.

I have seen our rally on News 14 and have heard that 11 had something on theirs also. I didn't see 11 there. They must have been incognito.

As I told you, this was the most professional production. All of the speakers and singers were tops. Of course my favorite was the more or less Honorable CongressmanBillyBob. We had a great turnout and the number of Freepers was unbelievable. I hope I met everyone but I know I missed Kayak. I hate that.

News 14 has some info on their site but I can't post the link for some reason...they still can't spell my name correctly.

Sorry for the double post but wanted to report that Jerry Agar's radio station (WPTF) carried ONLY news about the anit-war rally in Chapel Hill. Also, Channel 17 did a 30 second cut on RFA and Channel 11 did 60 seconds. Both seemed a little anemic, but at least they were there. Perhaps our e-mails to them worked!
To: Claire Voyant
dei23 deserves as much or more credit than we do, he did a lot of the work and has a lot of contact in political circles so he was able to arrange the speakers and a radio interview.
Thanks for the thanks. I'm still trying to upload pictures, please be patient.
