Two weeks ago C-SPAN had their cameras running at Ft. Campbell as the 716th MP Battalion processed through their final day and onto a Continental 767 Charter. The cameraman/producer talked to everyone from the Bn. Cdr to Pvts. for about 1 1/2 hours of tape. There was a scene when they were talking to a Pvt who couldn't have been 20 years old who was from California. Beside him was the cutest little red head from Tennessee. They planned to get married when he got back. He was strong but didn't look at her. All she could do was look at him and hold back the tears. I didn't.

If they did before, they won't any longer. Casualties in your own camps tend to change lots of policies.

Is it just me, or do Rather/Brokaw/Jennings seem to become almost gleeful at the prospect of reporting a US setback in this mission?
I've noticed a disproportionate focus on casualties vs. the mission's progress.

This is getting big laughs of at the
Dipshit Underground.
I normally wouldn't post a link like this, but the comments are too f'd up to go unanswered.
The following are NOT my comments, but reproduced from DU.

Lou Dobbs on CNN had Jim Lacey, the Time Magazine Reporter and incident eye witness, on the telephone. Jim was giving a first person account when Lou Dobbs blew him off and hung up so that Lou could get along with his boring recap of the day.
This is a story every news station was trying to info on and Lou Dobbs threw tossed this first person opportunity out the window. Lou Dobbs should be fired for this.

I agree with you. W gave them a chance, now the goal is to engage and kill the enemy with as few casualties to American soldiers as possible.

These were officer's tents and they were carrying on business at the time according to Shep on Fox News.

They're traitors. These are the asshole terroist wannabes in the "peace" protests with the hoods, masks and burkas.

Well, I am certain that an individual from DU would know what it is like to live a life with their pants down around their ankles.

I bet he is sick to his stomach.
Yes, he is. In Somalia he fought against having those contractors inside their compounds and refused to have civilians in his unit so he really was more concerned that the troops in the rear would be at risk.
