To the family of Marine Staff Sgt. Kendall Waters-Bey:

We the people share your grief, regardless. With time, you will see that this duty-bound man did not die in vain. Marine Staff Sgt. Kendall Waters-Bey volunteered to serve his country and in his way help protect the life we all enjoy. That is testimony of his honorable status across all eternity among the ranks of precious fallen warriors.

America is a nation under assault by terrorists who are hellbent to end our way of life. Courageous soldiers --and that is a most reverent title, Soldier-- are doing the work necessary to stop the enemies of this nation from being able to kill tens-of-thousands, perhaps millions, of American citizens, Marine Staff Sgt. Kendall Waters-Bey's fellow citizens.

We the people owe to you the family of Marine Staff Sgt. Kendall Waters-Bey our utmost gratitude in his honor. When we go to a little league ballgame, we honor your son, for he strove to assure the peace for that game, that recreation. When we go to our jobs, we honor your father, Kendall Waters-Bey, Jr., for he chose to join in the dangerous task of protecting our freedom to strive for a better life. When we go to our houses of worship, we honor and give thanks for the steadfast dedication Marine Staff Sgt. Kendall Waters-Bey applied to his chosen duty, for we know that the enemies of America seek to take our freedoms from us, if they can. By the grace of Almighty God, men of honor like your family member give so very much to retain those gifts we might take for granted. The untimely death of Marine Staff Sgt. Kendall Waters-Bey is at once a message to us all, do not take these precious gifts for granted. His blood sanctifies that which we must always hold dear. To the family of Marine Staff Sgt. Kendall Waters-Bey, we humble thank you for this honorable man.

It is a hard, hard thing to lose a child, even if their death was an honorable one. No, he did not die in vain, but his dad is angry and he has a right, infinitely more than any of those protesters, to vent his anger, even if we don't agree.

Marine Staff Sgt. Kendall Waters-Bey did not die in vain.

His name will be remembered in the annals of American history as a patriot, a soldier, a man and a hero.

While others' names will be lost to time, Marine Staff Sgt. Kendall Waters-Bey's name will not.

A father, a parent, is not supposed to outlive their child. It is the hardest thing for a parent to endure. This father is to be honored for having been the parent of a brave soldier.

Yes, we owe him our thanks and gratitude for his son's life, not our anger at his grief-stricken words.

I heard about the father's anger earlier, and while your post is good. He was a fallen Marine and a Staff Sargeant.You should always describe him as such.

However,there is more here then meets the eye.

Some of the family's statement don't add up.

"Waters-Bey's wife saw television footage of the helicopter crash and recognized the identification numbers. The family came to the conclusion that their son, brother and husband was on helicopter."

To the best of my knowledge the only footage taken of the crash was by Ollie North's cameraman and wasn't released to the public or even FOX news. It was turned over directly to the accident investigators by Oliver North who was visibly shaken by this accident.He was flying in the second Helo of this three bird flight,and the third helo was the one that crashed. He saw it all.

North's footage most probibly taken with a night vision camera and the "MODEX"(squadron identifier)and ID numbers would not even be visible.The mission was also scrubbed because of very poor visiblity.

My guess, someone had a lawyer put a bug in their ear, and someone is building a case to sue for wrongful death.

There's just one problem, you can't sue the military for the death of a serviceman in wartime or peacetime. The best the father might be able to do is collect his son's SGLI and personal effects instead of that money going to the wife, assuming of course that the deceased never changed his will when he got married or before he went into a combat zone.

In short A JAG needs to visit this family and see if some shyster has sold them a bill of goods in their grief. It happens all the time to Families of deceased servicemen.

WBAL-TV 11 NEWS first broke the news Friday afternoon that a Baltimore man is among a group of Marines killed in a helicopter crash inside Kuwait that happened late Thursday night.

He is identified as Marine Staff Sgt. Kendall Waters-Bey, 29, (pictured, right), of northeast Baltimore, WBAL-TV 11 NEWS reported. He is based out of Camp Pendleton in California and leaves behind four younger sisters and a 10-year-old son who lives in Baltimore.

"It's sad that this war is going on and that we have to lose so many people over nothing. I can't bring my brother back, but I really miss him," one of the soldier's sisters said.

WBAL-TV 11 NEWS reporter Noel Tucker spoke with the Marine's father who lives in northeast Baltimore where friends and neighbors were seen sobbing in the streets, sharing their grief with the family.

The family spoke with WBAL-TV 11 NEWS Friday afternoon and shared their feelings against the war.

As he held a picture of his son, Waters-Bey's father, Michael, (pictured, left), said: "I want President Bush to get a good look at this, really good look here. This is the only son I had, only son." He then walked away in tears, with his family behind him. Kenneth, the Marine's only son, was with the family, (pictured, below right).

A military spokesperson visited the family Friday morning to confirm that Waters-Bey had died in the crash. But the family had a feeling since Thursday night that he had died in the helicopter, Tucker reported.

Waters-Bey's wife saw television footage of the helicopter crash and recognized the identification numbers. The family came to the conclusion that their son, brother and husband was on helicopter.

And, before he left, Waters-Bey told his mother that he didn't think he would be coming home after his deployment, Tucker reported.

Waters-Bey moved to California with his wife but has been in constant contact with his son and the boy's mother, Tucker reported. Waters-Bey, who played football at Northern High School in Baltimore, was last seen by his son, (pictured, right), a couple of months ago.

According to the family, Waters-Bey didn't talk much about the war, but he said it was just something he had to do.

Your summation of this unfortunate situation and exceedingly wise counsel regarding the conspicuous information back to the family would be extremely beneficial to the family.

Did you notice that the article says His wife is in California, but also seems to say she's in Baltimore as well.

This whole thing reeks of explotation and politics by Turner the "reporter" who did the interview. His name is repeated repeatly.
