Apparently it is a high form of insult or the likes. I tried to find a picture with no luck though. There was a U.S. Marine cutting down one of the HUGE photos of Saddam shown on FOX News yesterday. He had most of it removed with only the top part of Saddam's face still remaining. An Iraqi citizen walked up to the picture, took off his shoe and was beating Saddam's face with it. He turned around, saw his friends or the camera on him and held his shoe up with glee ! Here is a link I did find via Google News Search:

Well, you might not. I just put "beaten with shoes" in Google and found the image. The page it came from isn't something to cheer the soul.
