This Sunday, the annual Academy Awards will be held in Tinseltown. As our nation wages a just and righteous war in the name of human freedom and dignity, as heroic men and women who represent our nation's finest risk their lives to protect the world from tyranny and terrorist blackmail, overgrown adolescents with low self-esteem will bask in the adulation of each other in a pathetic attempt to pretend to be relevant and call attention to themselves. While Jacques Chirac continues to strut and preen in Paris, Hollywood stars will give him a run for his money in seeing just who is the bigger prima donna.
Ah, yes. The Hollywood elite. Legends in their own minds. They think they are America's royalty, and that the peons should defer to their moral "superiority". But strip away their money and fame, the designer clothes, and the pretense, and they are among the ugliest, vilest, most depraved creatures in the nation.
They have proven this conclusively with their abominable and obscene behavior, their slanderous lies and calumnies against our President, and their overall hatred not only of America, but of human dignity and freedom. They live lives of excess and have everything at their beck and call, yet they vehemently oppose the righteous desire to free the oppressed and brutalized Iraqis. Their hearts are black and they have no souls. They are empty, hollow shells, all style and artifice and no substance whatsoever. They are despicable, grotesque, and inhuman caricatures who desperately try to invent an identity for themselves by espousing pet causes with empty slogans. And they compound their depravity by strutting around pretending that they are noble and compassionate and that they "feel your pain". Perhaps they feel the pain of spotted owls and whales and trees, but they have absolutely no empathy for oppressed and brutalized victims of an evil dictator. Just as they have no empathy for the unborn.
This Sunday, they will congregate in their annual orgy of self-congratulation, once again showing the world that they are a community so far removed and insulated from humanity and reality that they must pat each other on the back to justify their hollow and barren existence. They will pass out false idols in the form of golden statues, wear little ribbons that reflect the emptiness of their being, and condemn and indict a President who represents everything they abhor because he is a righteous, humble, and honorable man. A man who reminds them of the righteous God whom they hate, and who is the complete opposite of the cheap clown they adored for eight years and continue to adore to this day. As our brave and patriotic troops liberate the land of ancient Babylon, the pimps and whores of the present-day Babylon will hope to distract the world from reality long enough to ensnare them in their deluded fantasy land. If only their fans could see through all the false glitter and pretty packaging, they would recognize them for the gutter trash that they are.
Bunch of neophites standing around slapping themselves on the back in self-congratulations for an enormous effort on their part to bring their ideals to the forefront of the viewing and adoring public.
Then they announce what was the best whatevers. Occasionally, they even pick a movie as "the best picture" that more than a dozen people actually paid money to see. In the grand tradition of the blind pig and the acorn.
Yes, just like our mainstream media.
They are the human equivalent of meat or cheese...package them nicely in order to sell them. They are paid outrageous salaries which they demand for being involved in producing an abstract product. The guilt engendered by this, leads many to do the outrageous things we have seen recently.
Expiation of guilt - Sad isn't it?
Are we mad enough yet to stop buying this product? If so, the product will be forced to reflect the taste and desires of its consumers - us.
Perhaps this is why George C. Scott called the Oscars..."a meat parade". He refused his Academy Award for his performance in Patton.
They still don't understand that a growing number of Americans see through the shallowness of their talking props (who are paid to lie) and becoming more and more repulsed by the emptiness behind their phony veneers.
Oh please, please, please let schoolmarm Susan Sarandung give the nation a sanctimonious lecture on Oscar night. The more they practice their peculiar form of self-immolation/sedition, the more the nation gets a good look at Hollow-Wood, Inc. with their post 9-11 eyes.
There was a time not too long ago where boardinghouses in Los Angeles and New York City hung signs outside which read: NO DOGS OR ACTORS ALLOWED. Here's to a nationwide resurgence of that awareness (dogs excluded).
PS. If they really want to know why the world hates us, they need only look in the mirror.
