Actors, directors, assorted others - they are products being sold and bought in the marketplace.

They are the human equivalent of meat or cheese...package them nicely in order to sell them. They are paid outrageous salaries which they demand for being involved in producing an abstract product. The guilt engendered by this, leads many to do the outrageous things we have seen recently.

Expiation of guilt - Sad isn't it?

Are we mad enough yet to stop buying this product? If so, the product will be forced to reflect the taste and desires of its consumers - us.

Perhaps this is why George C. Scott called the Oscars..."a meat parade". He refused his Academy Award for his performance in Patton.
