Conservative national AM talk show host Mike Gallagher is planning a pro-USA concert in upstate SC on May 1, 2003 to rival the Dixie Chicks tour debut at Greenville's Bi-Lo Center. Gallagher plans to donate all proceeds to families of the U.S. Armed Forces in the Middle East. He is actively pursuing Charlie Daniels to be the headlining act, but also mentioned Toby Keith. A location has not been chosen as of yet, but Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium, The Peace Center, G-Braves stadium, and the Carolina Metroplex were mentioned. Tune in to the Mike Gallagher show (WORD 950 and 1330 AM in upstate SC, 10am-Noon M-F) for more information. To volunteer services for the event, visit www.mikeonline.com.

Here in Birmingham if a concert is sold out they will buy back tickets if for some reason one can't make the show. The policy is you have to make the ticket return two days or more prior to the concert so they can reissue them and sell them to someone else. Also you only get the price on the ticket back, not the service charge. This only applies to shows that are sold out. The belief is that they can turn around and sell the ticket again an get another service charge. I think the service charge here is $2 dollars per ticket. I also think the show here in May is sold out. What if everyone returned their tickets, and they couldn't resale them? That would be great. Ticket Master wouldn't lose any money, but the Dixie Sicks would.

Oasis joke for those not in the know.

I wouldn't do the ticket thing. That means the money still gets to the Vichy Chicks... and we don't want that.

I think the money already got to them if the tour is sold out. I just think of the wonderful site of them playing to an empty arena.

No, it really isnt. Oasis has a different set of battling Gallagher brothers.
(I myself come from a long line of battling Gallagher brothers, thats why I know about the battling comedian Gallagher brothers.)
Heres an article that mentions their feud.

Always great to see you back :) I hope that everything at home has been well. Sadly I could not find "ACE" articles at Zola times the other day when I went looking for them. They seem to have been removed.
Take Care

Come to think of it, you're right. And that would be pretty funny :D. Surely, from here on out ticket sales should drop... that's what I was thinking of.
