RKBA advocates must work to ensure the sunsetting of this Constitutionally repugnant law.

BTTT!

Let the sun set on this one of the thousands of nonsensical firearms prohibitions in this country!

Great post. I'll be sure to let my congress-critter's know my opinion on the AW ban. My senators Lautenberg and Cortizone, are hopeless, but it will be fun to make the aides squirm on the phone (esp. when you sound so polite and reasonable).

My congressman, RINO in training Jim Ferguson, is one of those 50-50 gun voting Republicans. I'll be sure to get as many gun-rights supporters to enact a lot of pressure on him.

What does this mean specifically?

I'm guessing high capacity clips will be okay to manufacture. But what other things? Will I be allowed to modify an AK to go full auto and I just pay a tax to the feds for registration like it used to be?

Will the importation of foreign weapons be relaxed?

Not entirely accurate. I believe Cornyn expressed support for banning "assault weapons" during his campaign.

I am confused. I thought that the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 was being renewed through the House of Representatives. Should we write our Senators about this and not the House of Representatives politicians?

I have already sent letters to the President and my elected official in the House of Representatives. I made about five copies of my letter to the President and had friends sign them and mail them off to George W. Bush. I encourage everybody to do the same. People are too lazy to write so write the letter for them.

You can bet my elected officials will hear more for me on this issue many times before September 2004.

Now is the time to turn up the heat!
