FIRST RALLY OF THE NEWLY FORMED VENTURA COUNTY CHAPTER!!

The Ventura County Chapter of the Freerepublic Rocks! We all met up for our first rally - a trial run for the 23rd. We were at the corner of Telephone and Victoria in front of the Ventura County Government Center. People were honking like crazy!!!
I hope I remember all the Freepers that were there - cindyloo, jeni, jillm, pacpam, hoppity, moonmad27, val e. girl, rabid republican and a "mystery" freeper.
Next Sunday is going to be awesome!!

We were joined by a Sgt. Timothy Hooper who is shipping out in two days. He was so thankful and proud of our support. I told him we were going to "adopt" him and send him pictures of the 23rd rally. He will send us pictures from his location. He is a tank gunner and served in Desert Storm.

It was great meeting everyone and see the kids holding signs for their daddies and all the other troops. Hoppity took some pictures so hopefully we can get some posted. If I left your name off the list of attendees, please don't be shy.
We are almost an official chapter now. I will be getting things squared away within the next day. At that time I will ask for confirmation of your interest in the chapter.

If I can give just one piece of advice it would be to find a core group of fellow FReepers and stay in close contact - daily if possible. Constantly feed the fire ~ never let the flame die. Good luck. We know you can do it!

Great that today's rally in Ventura went so well. I went to one in T.O. pulled together by Conejo Valley Republican Women and it was great! I passed the word there about ours in Ventura next Sunday; maybe some will show up.
My ears hurt from the honking horns, and people kept joining the group. One man brought the flag that was on his dad's coffin from the war -- WWII, I assume, since it had only 48 stars. Anyhow about 75-100 people there.
