I believe most of the anti-war protest in this country springs from basicly an anit-Bush sentiment. They probably hate GW as much or more than we hated Clinton. He was more of their kind of guy. I have yet to hear anyone say the really like GW but think that the war is for nefarious reasons.

I would just cause trouble if I went to a protest so my 'support the troops' effort is going to be a bit less visible. I figure that if my son (and all the others) is willing to risk his life for me, then I at least ought to take whatever risk is necessary to make sure he has a decent country to come home to.

The left protests because that's what they do best. I dosen't take much deep thinking to come up with such pithy catch phrases as 'no blood for oil' and 'drop bush not bombs'. The right genereally doesn't do as well in that arena (however, 'Sore/Loserman' will remain a classic). That's probably because the right is at work, making a living while the left is at a coffee house dialoguing.

Ok, I can feel a full blown rant comming on here so I'm going to go get a glass of water and chill out.

My son is at Camp New York with the 101st and the rest of the pointy end of the spear. These seekers of peace are making his job harder and more dangerous. As a father, I'm at the end of my patients with these people putting my son in further danger.
