WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Antiwar demonstrators gathered Saturday at the Washington Monument for a convergence on the White House as supporters of President Bush's Iraq policy planned a counter demonstration nearby.
Organizers at International ANSWER, a coalition of groups that have banded together to oppose a war, said they were expecting tens of thousands of people from more than 100 U.S. cities.

"...what it calls a patriotic rally.."Excuse me? What it calls??? Answer is holding what it calls a peace rally...what I call an anti-American rally.
"Thousands of people gathered in Atlanta, Georgia, waving American flags..."
Interesting that only the "anti-war" rallies have numbers of attendees. Pro-America rallies just have thousands.
Who says that CNN isn't objective?

Well, it was right on their front door step so they couldn't very well ignore it. I suppose they tried, but just couldn't.
Great move by the Pro-America/Liberate Iraq bunch. If they won't cover you, take it to them.

"...what it calls a patriotic rally.."Hey, we're all supposed to live in trailer parks, remember?
Perhaps CNN can't distinguish between a patriotic rally and a tractor pull.

How about ' Pro-Iraq demonstrators held what they called an anti-war demonstration....'
To: Between the Lines
Heck I am sure CNN hated to even mention us. So this surprises me somewhat.

GOOD NEWS!!!
The Los Angeles wing of international socialist "peace" protests had large amounts of rain falling on them today.

FOX did a good job of showing off FreeRepublic and all their signs. Wow! our people really look good compared to the anti-war crowd.

Does anyone know what happened to the DC rally? At 6pm, I was listening to the local coverage on the NBC station, and the reporter who was live at the scene said there was supposed to be an anti-war wrap-up by the Monument grounds, but everyone seemed to have left.
Not a whole lot of energy in this crowd, maybe? Or was that a separate event with different sponsors?

Free Republic is a 'group' now? On the one hand, it might be a good idea...after all, it's a catchy name. On the OTHER hand...well the left already hates and targets Free Republic, so I guess that concern is pretty much moot.

I was watching some of CNN this morning. Got so ticked off I had to drop them a line. I told them I thought they were a news organization not a left wing support group. I asked when they were going to start broadcasting the Muslim call to prayer 5 times a day.

ATLANTA RALLY FOR AMERICA! Estimated crowd of 25,000! PICS! That was supposedly a CNN number. And we were *right* on their doorstep. See the pic in #19 on that thread. One of the speakers really slammed them.
I'm still sticking to my crowd size estimate of 250,000, using the same headcounting methods ABC uses when reporting on Leftie events. ;-)

Well, after the "anti-war" (actually a "hate-Bush, hate America, hate real human rights") march ended, massive numbers of police were seen racing towards the 14th Street bridge area and towards the Holocaust Memorial Museum area... no doubt the "peace marchers" were getting rowdy and tried to take over the major vehicular arteries into and out of the city, as they have done/tried to do in the past.

HERE IS A GREAT FREEPER TIP....
I was buying posterboard for a tiny anti- anti-war rally in the small town nearby and...
I found this flexable write-on, erasable stuff. I bought 2 and a black erasable pen and taped them together on 3 sides and slipped it over the metal frame of an old policial yard sign from the last election.
I plan to keep it in the car and then at any rally can fill out both sides on the spot, wipe it off for the next time.
Also the metal yard sign posts can be stuck in the ground if you have too many signs to hold and not enough freepers and they will stand up and not blow over.
