SUPPORT THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF UPDATE
ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT DRAFTED AGAINST THE PRESIDENT!
CRITICAL ACTION ITEMS BELOW!
3/13/03
We have just learned that House Judiciary ranking member John Conyers (D-Mich.) assembled more than two-dozen prominent liberal attorneys and legal scholars on Tuesday to consider articles of impeachment drafted against President Bush by activists seeking to block military action against Saddam Hussein.
Conyers was the only Member of Congress to attend the meeting, however Ramsey Clark--former attorney general was also there.
"We had a pretty frank discussion about putting in a bill of impeachment against President Bush," said Francis Boyle, an Illinois law professor who is working with Clark on the impeachment language.
WE URGES A SWIFT RESPONSE! call Rep. Conyers office to voice their displeasure with him for even considering such an action against a President who has vowed to protect our nation from terror.
Please call as soon as you receive this message!
Below is the contact information you need to make an IMMEDIATE, and DIRECT IMPACT ON THIS ISSUE!
Rep. John Conyers: 202/225-5126 (Washington Office) 313/961-5670 (Main District Office)
And please, after calling Rep. Conyers, pass this message on to your friends and family, urging them to follow your lead by phoning as well.
TOGETHER, WE MUST COMBAT THESE DESPICABLE ACTS AGAINST OUR PRESIDENT!
Thank you, and God Bless America,

Aw come on, who would accuse a fine congressman like John Conyers of sour grapes. He is not the least bit partisan, is he?
To: mandingo republican
I just called and the woman I spoke with asked where I heard this. She told me He IS NOT seeking impeachment.
I said, "Oh, I guess thousands of irate people had an effect on his thinking"

Well here's my E-mail....
Mr.Conyers
Let me get this straight...
You wouldnt vote to impeach a president that...launched 480 cruise missiles, bombed an aspirin factory, lied to the American public, lied under oath in a court of Law, committed obstruction of justice, abuse of power, and stole FBI files.
He bombed Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Yemen, refused adequate armor/air support to US Rangers/Delta Force in Somalia resulting in the greatest combat casualties since the Vietnam war.
He used the Oval office like a cheap brothel, (Usama Ben Laden stated this very fact as one of the reasons we were attacked on 9/11), refused to capture Usama Ben Laden when
he was offered on a silver platter.
He sold pardons like they were hot dogs out of the White House, rented the Lincoln Bedroom to the highest bidder, reduced the FBI and CIAs ability to protect us from terrorists...
But you want to impeach George W. Bush for removing a tyrant and terrorist to protect
the citizens of the United States?
You sir are a socialist partisan obstructionist that cares only about his personal power and
the diminishment of the US in Global Affairs. You are not fit to even look upon the
government houses of this country much less be a part of it.

This is what I received in reply to my E-mail....
This automated response is to acknowledge that your email has been delivered to my email account:
John.Conyers@mail.house.gov. Thank you for taking the
time to email me about your concerns. I truly appreciate hearing from you.
Although I wish I could respond immediately, I receive thousands of letters and emails each week and it takes time to provide you with a thoughtful response. Here's how you can help ensure a more rapid response:
1. If you included your complete street address in the 14th Congressional District of Michigan, you do not need to do anything else. I will respond to your email as soon as possible.
2. If you live in the 14th District of Michigan, but you did not include your street address in your email, please re-send your entire message and include your street address so that I can reach you.
3. If you do not live in the 14th Congressional District of Michigan, I will take your concerns under consideration. However, Congressional courtesy dictates that Representatives be given the opportunity to assist
their own constituents. If you have included your address I will forward your message to your representative. If you are unsure of who your representative is, you can look it up at www.house.gov/writerep.
While you are waiting for a response to your letter, you can find further information about the legislation I am working on and the services my district office offers by accessing my website at www.house.gov/conyers.
Again, thank you for contacting me. I am honored to represent you in Congress and I look forward to addressing your concerns.
Sincerely,
John Coyners, Jr.
Member of Congress

Yes, the UN problem.
As such, under Mr. Conyers way of thinking, shouldn't he be bringing an indictment on war crimes against Mr. Clinton for Kosovo?
Afterall, Mr. Conyers wouldn't want to look partisan now would he?
To: DoughtyOne
Not a problem, FRiend. No apology necessary. I got a chuckle out of it, really . . .

I just sent him my message, via the "express route" from his web site, which I can use since I live in his district.
Since I'm a constituent, I expect a quicker and fuller response than those given to his non-constituents (at least that's what he says is his policy).
To: MeeknMing
I don't know why, I guess just because you said you were having fun.
