SUPPORT THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF UPDATE

ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT DRAFTED AGAINST THE PRESIDENT!

CRITICAL ACTION ITEMS BELOW!

3/13/03

We have just learned that House Judiciary ranking member John Conyers (D-Mich.) assembled more than two-dozen prominent liberal attorneys and legal scholars on Tuesday to consider articles of impeachment drafted against President Bush by activists seeking to block military action against Saddam Hussein.

Conyers was the only Member of Congress to attend the meeting, however Ramsey Clark--former attorney general was also there.

"We had a pretty frank discussion about putting in a bill of impeachment against President Bush," said Francis Boyle, an Illinois law professor who is working with Clark on the impeachment language.

WE URGES A SWIFT RESPONSE! call Rep. Conyers office to voice their displeasure with him for even considering such an action against a President who has vowed to protect our nation from terror.

Please call as soon as you receive this message!

Below is the contact information you need to make an IMMEDIATE, and DIRECT IMPACT ON THIS ISSUE!

Rep. John Conyers: 202/225-5126 (Washington Office) 313/961-5670 (Main District Office)

And please, after calling Rep. Conyers, pass this message on to your friends and family, urging them to follow your lead by phoning as well.

TOGETHER, WE MUST COMBAT THESE DESPICABLE ACTS AGAINST OUR PRESIDENT!

Thank you, and God Bless America,

This is so looney, so insignificant and so inconsequential, in my view, that I suspect even the liberal media will under-report it in order to protect the future reputations of the two of their usual heroes. Please don't provide them the publicity these clowns seek!

It's being dismissed as *yawns* as the action has no future and Conyers knows it.

I was flabbergasted when I saw this. Of ALL things ! Sheesh ! How LOW can they go, those Dirty 'RATS? . . .

This is so ridiculous that is laughable.

I mentioned that I had heard of this last week. The articles are to be filed as soon as hostilities begin. Ramsey Clark and John Conyers, who'd a thought?

Living ex presidents could also be charged through this legislation, right?
If Bush is convicted of a "crime", then all those who did the same have committed a crime, i.e., the rapist.

The war powers act will save Bush. It's the law he can do this already, not to mention the house signing on with him after 9/11, and Saddams terms of surrender.

Call this dude and tell him he is a waste of protoplasm. President Bush should have him arrested on a sedition charge.

This is another example of left wing facism through litigation. If they can't get their way, they throw a temper tantrum and sue somebody.

This is absurd. Since when have being a drunk driver or being a draft dodger or being the village idiot... since when have these been impeachable offenses?

Couldn't believe my eyes when I read this. These
characters are traitors, pulling such a stunt at such
a critical time. They should be in jail where they
can't cause any trouble ever again.
Just before opening Free Republic, I sent an E-Mail to
our Commander in Chief, letting him know how many supporters
he has, and not to pay any attention to the anti-war
subversives. (Remember the Communist Goals?)
I also asked if there was a good address regular or E-Mail
so that I could sent Tony Blair a note telling him the
same thing - that we appreciate all he is going through
to be on our team! Does anyone have an address?

Also keep in mind that Clinton's poll number skyrocketed during his impeachment. Like it or not, it's undeniable that people rallied behind him.

They fell for the demonization of Ken Starr, Linda Tripp, et al. Most never knew that an impeachment is a political rather than a legal procedure. One can be impeached even though no crime was committed; bad behavior can be grounds for impeachment. The uninformed public equated impeachment with removal and the liberal media never clarified the difference.

Sure, impeach Conyers. Or... recall Conyers. Or,... just plain fire him or,... lock him out in the alley without his pants.
