SUPPORT THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF UPDATE
ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT DRAFTED AGAINST THE PRESIDENT!
CRITICAL ACTION ITEMS BELOW!
3/13/03
We have just learned that House Judiciary ranking member John Conyers (D-Mich.) assembled more than two-dozen prominent liberal attorneys and legal scholars on Tuesday to consider articles of impeachment drafted against President Bush by activists seeking to block military action against Saddam Hussein.
Conyers was the only Member of Congress to attend the meeting, however Ramsey Clark--former attorney general was also there.
"We had a pretty frank discussion about putting in a bill of impeachment against President Bush," said Francis Boyle, an Illinois law professor who is working with Clark on the impeachment language.
WE URGES A SWIFT RESPONSE! call Rep. Conyers office to voice their displeasure with him for even considering such an action against a President who has vowed to protect our nation from terror.
Please call as soon as you receive this message!
Below is the contact information you need to make an IMMEDIATE, and DIRECT IMPACT ON THIS ISSUE!
Rep. John Conyers: 202/225-5126 (Washington Office) 313/961-5670 (Main District Office)
And please, after calling Rep. Conyers, pass this message on to your friends and family, urging them to follow your lead by phoning as well.
TOGETHER, WE MUST COMBAT THESE DESPICABLE ACTS AGAINST OUR PRESIDENT!
Thank you, and God Bless America,

OK, somebody please 'splain to me why this idiocy should not be subtly encouraged by those of us who realize just how stupid this is. I would really like to see a bill of impeachment brought to a roll call vote in the house, because I would like to see the total repudiation of these idiots, as well as the damage they would do to themselves in the next election.

"we can point at all of the times Clinton did the same" The problem with that is that contradiction does not compute with these people. Their hypocrisy is shameless and boundless.

You're probably right. But it's too bad that some Republican or other couldn't get up into Conyers face, and say: "You can't do that, that's not an impeachable offense!", or "There's just not enough evidence for impeachment", or "You're going to overturn a popular election, the American people are tired of this, and it will cost the taxpayer sooo much money, the American people want to move on now, etc...".
You can take your pick! This is the same crap that they leveled at the Republicans and their house managers! It's so asinine to even suggest that we impeach a president for doing his job!

"Members of the Progressive [read Communist and/or Socialist] caucus in Congress ought to be banned from holding office!" I couldn't agree more. Their agenda is counterproductive to the principles upon which America was founded and a clear conflict of interests.

Fox News Has already been on FOXNews earlier. It's being dismissed as *yawns* as the action has no future and Conyers knows it.

"unfortunately it was pulled by the Moderator." Wonder why.

"Another Clinton "poodle"
It's sickening isn't it, that these people even get elected,
let alone have a platform to speak from!
They subvert the law, and yet are the first to use every
legal technicality and loophole, when it is in their benefit. Conyers in this action, is acting in the great
tradition of all scum!

Since when have you been a Bush defender?
I would have pegged you for taking sides with John Conyer.

I think that the Moderator, while usually really good, was just a bit quick on the "trigger finger". The title of the other article was very close to the title of this one, and whoever posted it ( I don't recall), just used an exerpt, instead of posting the entire article, and perhaps at a quick glance it looked the same to the Moderator.
I actually sent him a note, explaining the situation, but apparently he didn't feel like restoring it. I wish I could give credit to the person who posted the article, but I just looked at the post, and went to the link and read the article at WND, by the time I came back to the thread, it was pulled.
That's why I posted that article on this thread, because I think it has a great deal more info, than the teaser Drudge had.

Husband wanted to write this one; (and sent it)
Subject; Impeach
I am in the military, and at this moment you are trying to find ways to impeach MY Commander and Chief? We need to take care of terrorism NOW before it becomes so much of a problem that I and many score more of my fellow soldiers die due to the likes of you that would rather "wait it out" with diplomacy and until it is to late. You (and anyone that agrees with you) makes me sick.

This is too good. The first rule of politics is to wait until after the event has failed;...then pontificate and bluster. It's safer that way. Conyer's arrogance and presumed safe-district status has just catapulted him into "retirement" in 2004. Ask Cynthia McKinney if being black in an all black district guarantees re-election when you embarrass and expose those same voters(supporters) to a national audience. He doesn't even understand how badly he was used to perpetuate the left's last grasp at bringing down Bush. If it works, Bush loses re-election and he get's Appropriations Committee Chairmanship. If Bush wins quickly in Iraq, Conyers get's retirement, and the Dems will dis-avow anything he ever said. You won't hear much either way from Dems until 48 hours into this war;...even though they will be praying for a disaster.
