The other night, at their opening for their tour in London, they indicated on stage that they were sad to know/hear that our President was from Texas. Again, it is sad to see and hear yet another "celebrity" announcing that they are ashamed of their President of their Unites States. I just wish we would get over and get back so that these "celebrities" would quit using all of these Grammy, Emmy, own concert "stages" to provide their political saitre.

Thank you for your fine radio station and your music selection. I'm really glad your signal makes it over here to the Space Coast. I'm writing today as I've just learned about the Dixie Chicks on-stage words last Saturday night in England. The quote is ' "Just so you know," says singer Natalie Maines, "we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas." ' Well, I am now ashamed the Dixie Chicks are from America, sing Country ... I think you get the drift.

Just looking at your web site, I can guess this doesn't fit in well with your programming or your audience. While I can understand it might not be possible for your station to completely stop playing music by the Dixie Chicks, please understand that I can stop listening to the radio at the push of a button and it might be a good 75 minutes or so before the CD finishes playing or I realize I've switched off my favorite station. Just so you know.

IMHO, the reason all these entertainment types gravitate leftward is that they feel ashamed that they make a jillion dollars for doing ... in a goodly number of cases, not universally ... nothing of any real consequence or lasting significance, so they basically flagellate themselves to atone for their good fortune in what they view as a world of misfortune. Of course they never think like that when they're trying to climb up the latter, they're as craven and mercenary and capitalistic as they come, it's only when they grab the brass ring that they start feeling that bleeding-heart guilt. As far out as he could be, John Lennon had his head on straight along those lines. In that famous Playboy interview right before he died, the questioner asked him about how he balanced his immense fortune with the leftist activism he was involved in at one point, and his response was, "What would you have me do, give it away and walk the streets? As I have stated above, Natalie is going to most likely abandon more than half her fan base. Thats her choice. But calling her worse than Janice Joplin because A: You disagree with her and B: she was pregnant on tour and didnt sexually arouse you, its less than what I expect from Freerepublic.

The Dixie Chicks, except for the short fat lead singer, and the clothes they used to wear, are the same that started the group. The music style has changed and the costume they used to wear when they had another name is gone, but the two sisters from Dallas, are still there, only now with a loud mouth idiot lead singer.
