Appeasenick counter protest set - Utah

The counter protest has been set for 2PM on March 15, 2003.
Those interested should meed at the front of the capital builing at about 1:45PM.
Please dress in casual-Sunday attire (lets not look sloppy).
We want to carry a positive counter protest message (such as support our troops, free/liberate Iraq, lists of current Iraqi violations and human rights abuses, Kosovo didn't require UN approval, support national security etc etc). I would prefer that we don't carry and "Let's go to war" type stuff as it plays into the oppositions hands (it'll let them use the conservatives etc. are all war-mongers talking point). Besides, the fact of the matter is that we don't want wars but when it comes to national security, our hand is occasionally forced to do so.
I will have a couple of signs, but suggest you bring your own sign (BYOS?)
I would also suggest we do not take an aggressive confrontational stance. Socialists and left-wingers generally resort to aggressive and threatening behavior. Lets not go down to their level. Further, if we resort to that type of behavior as it demeans our position (the press will pick up on that) and that is not the goal of this event!

You're right; don't be confrontational. Instead, smile and laugh at them when they spout nonsensical drivel. When they ask what's so funny, smile again and say, "It's just amazing and bemusing to me that you can say all that stuff with a straight face. Do you actually believe any of it? It's so far removed from the plain reality of the world that it sounds like bad comic book fantasy!"
