WASHINGTON -- They've marched in the streets, demonstrated on college campuses and held "teach-ins" to educate people about their cause.

But who knew?

They are the supporters of a possible U.S. war against Iraq. And their activities, so far, have been much fewer and less visible than those of their antiwar counterparts.

There are probably a dozen dictators in Africa who are equally bad. Why not get rid of them too.

Even worse, N. Koreans are about to build a bomb, if they have not done so already. They already have chemical and biological weapons. If they are crazy enough, they just might sell these weapons to the terrorists. Why not invade N. Korea too.

Nope, I still think oil is the main reason for invading Iraq.

If it was about oil, we'd lift the sanctions. Sheesh, that's obvious.

We can't police the whole world, nor do we want to. Africa is a sad case of the legacy of colonialism and the Cold War.

We are working on North Korea as we speak. We are addressing the problems they present in a different fashion.

My suggestion is for back to your fluffy university comrades where you can hear all the nice punditries expounded from the ivory towers of your instructors. You'll never have to work hard or produce anything. Just keep repeating the mantra "Hillary for Prez".

Have a nice day.

If oil is the reason for invading then why didn't we take the oil in 91? I think you're confusing us with France who does have huge oil deals with Iraq.

No need to label people. I just want to hear the pressing reasons for liberating Iraq at this moment. After all, there are many ways to get rid of Saddam without involving an expensive occupying US force.

The last I heard, the plan is to divide Iraq into three separate parts to prevent the ethnic groups from taking revenge on each other. Sounds like a Balkan in the making.

Good nickname, "Fishing-guy" because you are just fishing for a way to make a nuisance of yourself. If you really have no idea why it would be a good idea to liberate Iraq, you are the embodiment of naivate and ignorance. You were probably saying the same old "it's a war about oil" when we LIBERATED Kuwait. I suppose you don't even know why it was a good idea to liberate Kuwait. Or Afghanistan. Or Grenada, etc., etc., etc., Can you tell me why we shouldn't liberate Irag?

Why the name calling?

Where in my posts did I say we should not "liberate" Iraq?

My question is why do we want to "liberate" Iraq? Especially, why now and why should we risk American lives to do it? To defeat tyranny makes no sense, given all the dictators around the world that we don't care about.

If it is for oil, so be it. Let's hope we don't end up with another Shah of Iran.

BTW, Kuwait is still run by a monarchy. We all know how they love democracy.

I think it's the oil.

I don't mind being called pro-war, even if the leftists use it as an epithet. I am definitely pro-THIS-war.

There's no other EFFECTIVE alternative, sometimes, and this is one of those time. The only thing that's going to work on some of our enemies is war and lots of it. No false peaces, no delays giving the other side time to better marshall their forces. No compromises with the devil in order to make our so-called allies "feel" good.

There's going to be military action in more places than Iraq, I am sure. And it will give the rest of them something to think about.

If we give them nothing to think about, we're just going to have to deal with much worse aggression later.
