Why is this bad news? I'd be perfectly happy if these idiots would quit voting in order to campaign. We'd pass massive spending cuts by votes of 52 to 0 with 48 absent in the Senate and pass with similar margins in the House. The president's judicial nominees would be easily confirmed if these idiots would filibuster in the cornfields of Iowa rather than on the Senate floor.
