Harrison Ford Says He's Not Pro-Bush

Film star Harrison Ford has become the latest celebrity to say that he's not a fan of President George W. Bush.
The New York Daily News cleared up conflicting reports of the "Air Force One" president's stance on the potential war with Iraq. The paper said numerous reports found Ford opposing the antiwar letter to Bush in December from the celebrity group Artists United to Win Without War.
Speaking through his manager Patricia McQueeney, Ford said his feelings are "exactly the opposite" of what's been reported. She told the Daily News that Ford was "appalled by the idea" that anyone would think he supports a war with Iraq.
That's not to say that he doesn't want Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein out of power. In fact, he wants Bush out of power, too.
"What I'm for is a regime change on both sides," Ford told the Daily News through McQueeney.
Ford next stars as a LAPD detective in the action comedy-drama "Hollywood Homicide."

I had already dropped this bum like a bad habit, when he shed his wife of many years and kids, for a young trophy with a new rack. Uhhh... Have you seen Calista Flockhart? She is skeletal and dare I say, rackless.

Anne Heche isn't quite what you think she is. In fact, from recent developments, she appears to be almost the opposite of the impression many got from her involvement with Ellen DeGeneres.

The movie he made a couple of years ago about his wife in a plane crash was just putrid.

Have you ever seen H. Ford off-the-cuff, such as on Leno? The man is an idiot, I am amazed he can read his lines. He cannot put 2 sentences together on his own, he constantly "blanks out" mid "thought".

Notice how the author states Ford is the star of "Air Force One" and not other movies like "Indiana Jones." If they really wanted to cite a role that represents his credibility and his philosophy, they should probably have stated it as "Ford, who stared as an eccentric, liberal, inventor in 'Mosquito Coast'..." or "Ford, who stared as an aging, cynical, private charter pilot in 'Seven Days and Seven Nights'..."

Who cares one way or the other, though? I'm so sick of people in the limelight using their celebrity status as a platform to broadcast their political views. He should spend more time attending to the needs of his young girlfriend.

Yes, he's a wierdo. Recently left his long-time wife, too, for I believe Callista Flockhart of all people.
When he made his statement of "support" for Anne Heche by starring in a movie with her I pretty much had him pegged.

The general public doesn't care what my personal views on the war in Iraq are, but if someone published a statement on my views and they were wrong, I'd try to get the public record corrected. Why shouldn't Harrison Ford? Initiating putting your views into the public record is one thing. Correcting lies about your views is another.

What I'm trying to say is...I don't care about Harrison Ford's views one way or the other. To me he is just an inconsequential person. He can like Bush or hate him. I don't see his films and I'm not interested in anything he has to say.

I don't care what his opinions, or the opinions of any other actor, athlete, etc., are either. But I won't condemn him for correcting lies about him.

Hey, I admit I'm wrong every day -- I'm married.
Still I'm not quite certain what your conclusions are based upon. Your little vignette doesn't really add a lot of depth and dimension to Heche. If I've done her wrong I'm willing to admit it but I've seen nothing that would reveal her as much more than a self-aggrandizing opportunist at best. I've been around Hollywood and the theatre, not to mention press agentry, far to long to have any illusions.

I've trashed my Martin Sheen movies, Babs records, and Jacko videos
i am concerned about the fact you owned these in the first place
To: hoosierskypilot
Toss out all the Ford tapes except "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". Both movies contain sterling performances by Bush-supporting, pro-America John Rhys-Davies (Sallah).

I agree with you kellynla, let's get back to reading good books and forget Hollywood. Life is too short to waste time on Hollywood!
